Patiently losing patience waiting for Cineplex to bring this theatre back! Not sure why it has not opened back up now that we are learning to live with Covid19! I hope to see this hidden gem opened back up soon
For being one of the few one-screen theaters left, this one is nice. It's in a small town, so it's a lot smaller than other Cineplex cinemas, and the movie options are fewer, but the staff do their best to make guests feel welcome.
The theatre is outdated, small, and dirty. The seats look like they're from the 80s and sitting in them left me with killer lower back pain. You'd think being the only cinema in town they'd be able to afford a renovation.
Shout out to the staff at the Cineplex Theatre in Antigonish.... After seeing a movie last week, it was a couple days before I realized I had lost my wallet. Of course I panicked... and retraced my steps.... I called the manager at this theatre, and sure enough my wallet had been turned in by one of his staff members! Complete with several “tap” cards .... Thank you so very much, very grateful for your honesty.. hopefully good karma will come your way
They get the rated B lineup of movies that are out. The chairs are out dated. The service is pretty bad! 3 people behind the counter and only one is serving. Newglassgo is better!
Staff had to be asked to turn on lights in a pitch black theater, was told I wasn't allowed to add certain snacks to a combo and then that I was by another staff member, given wrong drinks, started playing 3d movie even though it wasn't supposed to be 3D... nobody had glasses so they stopped the movie and had to restart.
Disgusting theater .old and run down and the restrooms are a nightmare . The staff are no better . Probably the worst theater in the entire country.take a 30 minute drive to New Glasgow and enjoy a far far better movie experience.The only reason it gets one star is because there's no option for Zero stars.
Uncomfortable seats, only one movie playing at a time, smells musty/damp. Almost always drive to New Glasgow to catch a movie as opposed to this local theater. Needs major upgrading / renovation.
It's an aging theater but they've got decent a sound system and there's always lots of seats available. Staff is friendly and helpful.
