ATM stole my money, I told staff but could tell they thought I was lying. I asked them to check the cameras of the machine refusing my money and not giving it all back - they didn’t care. Also ATM is locked at night like 8pm because CIBC doesn’t care about its customers ease of access to pay rent, I’ll be switching banks as soon as I can.
Couldn’t do enough when I was opening an account. Went in to ask about a credit card ,and they didn’t have the time of day for me. Now they are calling me to sell me more of their “services”. Already dealing with 2 other banks. Already have credit cards ,was just trying to do my business closer to home. What’s it going to take ,before they realize ,that they need us more than we need them.
If I could give less than one star I would. Everytime I come to this establishment I learn to regret it. I have never been treated with such disrespect and blantant racism in my life. Not only did they make me stand in line for 45 minutes as they helped every other customer in the building, but even with three different forms of valid ID they still refused to awknowledge that I am who I say I am. They made up a bunch of fake policies just to avoid doing their jobs properly, because they didn't like being called out on their complete lack of professionalism and the obvious rasism. Do not go to this CIBC, unless you want to be treated as though you have no worth.
I have been planning to open another bank account, close to home,with good services. So I went to this branch,went inside and started to check things out ok! Not ok!!!! I watched the staff & listened to the people in the line up & it was all bad. There were 8 people in line, 1 teller and a whole lot of GRUMBLING . I am the least racist person you will ever meet, but, the staff IGNORED all the patrons that were not ASIAN !!! I then read the reviews on their website & they were like what I had witnessed in person !?????! I do not understand this type of attitude racist !!!??? I think I will go elsewhere . Hello, I've been in this bank a couple of times and used their services. It was a good experience. Service, attitude, personable and With smiles. I have had a great deal of prejudice throughout my life. Going into most any place, examples..Rentals, stores,walking around, browsing, and restaurants. ABOUT 60 70 % of the time I experience this. But I remember the times of non judgmental people. Experiences like in customer service or meeting anyone new. I appreciate that refreshing pleasantries. And always enjoy great small talk or conversation with anyone. I think they as well enjoyed speaking with me. Some are curious about my background. Others speak whatever the situation brings up for us. Thank you ‍CIBC for a good in house experience. Cheers vancouverites.
Today I had a great experience. I just went to deposit a bunch of coins. A staff asked me to pack the coins into a roll. They don’t even have a single coin counter. So what I did was giving change to homeless people around the bank thank you CIBC I could do good things today. Great experience.

Well I came here to the bank with just under five hundred dollars in coins. They made me roll them all up. Which I understand. But then she proceeded to tell me she had to deposit it all. I told her many times no. But she didn't want to listen after repeating myself 6 times she said if it was under five hundred dollars. Well I don't want to make the deposit to my account. And it has never been an issue before. So I proceeded to let her count them all again in front of me. She was very rude and talked to me as if I was not the same as her human. Somehow because I'm young and look a certain way to her she decided that I was not worthy of proper treatment. Well I hope she has a wonderful day and that people never talk or treat her like she did with me. Standing being humiliated by a bank teller because she has personal issues with me shouldn't happen. I have never been treated by staff at CIBC ever. And I have some good friends that have been working with CIBC for many years. Now I understand why some of them quit. Drama doesn't belong at a bank or a professional services establishment. I will be closing my account and leaving CIBC after this because I'd rather make my upcoming transactions at a place where I am respected. Little does she know I have large investments from Trust accounts to transfer and i won't do it with CIBC
Meh, very slow and understaffed, be prepared to wait. They maybe will have 2 tellers during rush hour on a friday. Good luck. Currently in line of 10 people, on rush hour on a friday. They only have one teller open and over 7 employees just walking around. Very unimpressed.
Believe her name is nda or something but WOW no effort to try and help whatsoever, do not waste your time she is way too old to be working here, she displayed inappropriate and unsatisfactory behavior when I asked her for a manager and she said no, then left for a moment came back and wrote me the number for online banking, I came into branch to resolve my issue and was basically rejected because she didn't want to do her job!!!!! Update! I visited another branch and proved empirically she did not want to do her job, I was helped in a few short minutes with no issues!!!!!!!
