My lady had to have ice cream and churnt up popped up on google. She picked this because it was dairy free. Anyway this was probably some of the best ice cream I have had, creamy will smooth with just the right level of flavour and tartness in the mango. The chocolate was perfectly chocolate-ly with a nice rice colours. It was solid but not frozen so you can easily get a spoonful. Definitely will go back and I would recommend you try this before the summer is over. Please like and share this review so we can promote these small businesses.
we tried this lovely little ice cream spot at Eglinton on a perfect summer day. It houses 2 more eateries in the same space. They have some really nice flavours of ice cream and you can take a pint home. They are available either in cone, cup or milkshakes As there were two elites we got to try the flight, and as our choices we got strawberry pokey, mint, matcha, mango, chocolate and cherry. My fav was Cherry it is the nice tart-not too sweet perfectly sour. The mango was heavenly, if that is just a seasonal flavour you must try that. If you are a fan of mint chocolate chip you probably won’t like the mild flavor. Overall all the ice creams tasted fresh and were flavourful. The flight was sufficient for dessert cravings. The original sizes are huge.
Creative & amazing ice cream flavours not commonly found elsewhere & tastes very gourmet! Tried their Biscoff cookie butter, & it was great! Will definitely try all their other flavours soon! Very nice location inside a building of 3 other restaurants. Very convenient for having a meal and dessert right after.
Churnt Up, was a easy to find location that shares the common seating area with a few other amazing food shops! Located right in front of Laird Eglinton LRT station. Upon entering the store I was greeted by Vince, and he allowed me to take my time to browse the many different flavours offered. I heard from a few others that the Dark Cherry flavour was amazing so I just had to have that! My next choice was a bit less risky, since it’s night time and I need to go sleep soon and didn’t want to be wired up with the Viet Java Chip flavour. But I must return another time earlier in the day to try that!! I instead chose my second scoop flavour with Mango. First off the Mango flavour was delicious, had a nice none fake food colouring which was great! Also the mango scoop had real chunks of mango inside which was both refreshing succulent and flavourful. Now onto the Dark Cherry flavour, now a disclaimer, I personally don’t like eating cherries, don’t ask why, I was just grown up not liking cherries, and haven’t eaten cherries ever since I was introduced to it at an early age. I was definitely a bit worried about how this would taste in a ice cream, but wow was I wrong! This was soo delicious!!! It’s a must try and I enjoyed it more than my go to mango flavour ice cream!! All in all, it was a hot summer evening in Toronto tonight, and to end the day off with a double scoop of ice cream from Churnt Up made my day! Today is Tuesday night, and I felt like it’s a Friday evening. Too bad the workday is upon me tomorrow morning. I also purchased a pint of HK Milk Tea ice cream to take home which I will enjoy in the coming days!
The space is shared between different businesses. Churnt up is right at the entrance. I ordered the matcha white chocolate chip ice cream and the chocolate fudge brownie milkshake. Both were delicious. I really loved the balanced flavors of the matcha ice cream. If you love matcha, you’ll love this ice cream. You can chose up to 2 ice cream flavors for your milkshake. I only picked one. It was really nice and creamy with pieces of brownie in it. Definitely recommend both. There are some tables outside where you can sit and enjoy your treats.
We had a blast today at Churnt Up. Street parking was convenient + service was amazing and super accommodating! We opted for the flight of ice cream shared among 4 of us -- most were winners! Matcha Birthday cake Cookie something, sorry but tasted like animal crackers Mint chocolate chip Pokey strawberry Mango As a result, we ordered a birthday cake shake to go + 3 take home containers of mint chocolate chip, mango and birthday cake. Thanks so much + we'll definitely be back!
support your small businesses! Vince, the owner of the shop has created amazing flavours you need to check out. Pictured here is a double scoop in a waffle bowl. We chose strawberry porky and biscoff cookie which were both fantastic!!
I found my ice cream spot by Eglinton East. Very kind staff that's very helpful. The ice cream speak for itself..You really gotta churnt up for this. I like the mango flavor with frozen mango chunks. Kudos to the creator and having ripe mangoes in it. A very creamy texture with a bold taste. I also recommend the Viet Java Chip and prepare for some caffeine kick. The strawberry pocky has a nice crunch. Wish I can have this ice cream for breakfast with their fruit loops flavour. If you're in the East End, it's a spot I would recommend going to.
Awesome ice cream with fun flavours. A lot of the ice creams come with a topping which adds a nice texture to it. Personal faves are the strawberry pocky and the hk milk tea. They also make great waffle cups in house.
We decided to try the flight, which included - small scoop of 6 different flavours. I was expecting the premium handcrafted ice cream experience like other amazing spots in toronto. I have to say for the hype I was underwhelmed with the texture and taste of the flavours.
