Churchill's Restaurant & Lounge

Had three meals here, the food was excellent and the service was good. We had both scallop dishes and they were cooked to perfection.

We read about the inn and restaurant in out AAA. Guide book It is great, the server in the lounge, Bregh sp? Is delightful and a joy to talk with. Our restaurant experience was outstanding. The view from our room is out of a picture book. The Kings from Florida

We had high expectations for Churchill's Restaurant based on the price tag and on some reviews we read. We were very, very disappointed. The charcuterie board was not very good - the meats resembled spam and we don't know which one was the pate. I ordered the rack of lamb -($30) and it was terrible. Everything on my plate was smothered in a very spicey, far too salty "sauce" that resembled bbq sauce. I ate a couple of bites and couldn't finish. It actually turned my stomach and I felt ill do r the rest of the night. The servers were very nice and I didn't have to pay for my dinner but I was so disappointed - this was our evening out and we splurged on a nice meal and my meal was the worst I've ever eaten out. Lamb is delicious - I like it any which way, but whoever created this dish should not be inventing dishes. It was awful. The rest of the food was just ok (sauces and seasoning were all pretty bad) and definitley not worth the price tag. I would have been extremely disappointed in this restaurant even at half the price. It is a very nice location and atmosphere but they need a new menu and some help in the kitchen.

The food was excellent however the service was very very poor. When you go out for a nice meal and the service is that bad it totally takes away from the experience!

For dinner: If you are looking for quiet and formal (say, to propose marriage, or to treat your aging mother), this is a very good restaurant. However, the Fundy Restaurant (in town), is half the price for equal quality food and has a nice view of the harbor. For breakfast, Churchills is the best bet if you are staying in the Pines Resort
