Super happy with my lovely hair and all the details! I have tried so many hair salons before, like misako, air plus, aube, hair production, etc., but I haven’t found a very good hair stylist until now! I came across with Teppei’s instagram teppei_kuwabara and found the hairstyle that I love. Then, I booked my first appointment with him. He is super professional, patience and takes time to explain, design and style my hair. Unlike other hair salons that sale you lots of products and treatments, he teaches me how to maintain my hair bangs and curl my hair. The whole experience is awesome. Will definitely come back again, highly recommend!

I have a great experience tonight with Nanami Jr, stylist . I love how she really cut my hair with her heart! Their website has mentioned she is new to Vancouver but 5 years experience in Japan, however, I’m looking for a Japanese hair style so doesn’t matter to me. On top of that, you will get 10% discount! I highly recommend her because I am satisfied with her attitude towards the whole process and she is very polite. Good job and support!

I did haircut and super straightening. I asked for natural bob and back of my hair is longer than the sides which was supposed to be even shorter. The ugliest haircut ever in my life. Some parts of my hair are still curly which never happened in other hair salons. I didn’t realize at the salon because my hair was styled by hair iron. My hair got damaged so bad after super straightening here. Its been over 5months and still not recovered. Ive been doing straightening every 6months over 15 years and its the first time seeing my hair so damaged. My natural hair used to be medium thick and healthy and I am pretty sure they use cheap product. It is very surprising they are high rated.

This is the best hair salon I've ever been to, and I will definitely be returning. Katsumi was SO so incredibly nice and professional, he suggested ideas to fit my face shape and was very knowledgeable. He was very gentle and was careful about each step in the process. The other stylists were also really nice and I love the vibe this salon gives off. Highly recommend going here! Prices are also very reasonable. If you come here, you are in very good hands. I've been coming here to get my haircut for a while. I've always enjoyed the atmosphere that the staff members brought. The dedication/effort they have to make a happy customer is over the top! During my last appointment, I had the pleasure of speaking with Akane, if I recall correctly, I apologize if not! she is a great assistant who helped with my hair treatment and blow drying. She is very kind, maybe a bit shy but it was fun talking to her and she got the job done no problem. I had my haircut done by Katsumi this particular appointment and he was absolutely wonderful! For this appointment, I didn't know what style/length or much of anything of how I wanted my hair to be cut. I was definitely a strange client, I only knew I wanted to donate my hair my hair was pretty long. Katsumi was so accommodating and patient with me. We talked it out and discuss the good, the bad and other ideas for my new haircut. In the end, it turned out really great and I've been getting many compliments from my friends, co-workers and family! I especially liked the way he did my bangs as they work very well for both updos and down hairstyles. In addition, Katsumi also catered to my hair needs when it came to the hair treatment. He directed Akane with the specialized treatment that he believed would work for my hair frizz/moisture. In the past, I've had Shinji cut my hair before and those haircuts came out looking great too! All in all, I've always had a lovely experience at Chura Crescendo. I believe that anyone would be happy working with any of their hairstylists or assistants as they are all very skilled and are just genuinely great people! i LOVE this salon. I have been going to Tomo for the past few years and he has been so amazing. The only thing is that you have to book far in advance to see him and that can be a little bit inconvenient when you are a last minute hair cut kind of person like me. I have asian hair and I get my hair cut short with bangs and he has been so good at cutting my hair short above shoulder length. It grows out really nicely too - not too bulky and heavy. I start to feel the bulky -ness at week 4. I have been to other hair salons with a short hair cut and when it grows out it feels super bulky at week 2. If you ever want to try a completely different hair cut I would trust this place. They are amazing and the service is so good.Service: Hairstyling

The online reservation assigned me Ryuki. My first haircut was after a couple of years of pandemic growth. I showed him a photo and the result came out exactly the way I wanted. I have a thicker growth on the bottom half and he is the first to know how to cut it so it didn’t bulge out at the end. I received a lot of compliments from this haircut. The second time I showed him another photo and braved a shorter cut. I received even more compliments. Ryuki knows how to cut my hair to suit my face shape. He would ask me throughout if I wanted a section shorter and explain options. The salon is very relaxing with cool jazz type music and I like that there isn’t a lot of gossiping and chatting going on like I’ve heard in other places where I’ve paid three times and quality cut is the same. I’ve been going to Chura near Chinatown for a few years but the Hastings location is closer and neighbourhood is less sketchy. Parking around the neighbourhood is easy and free.Service: Hairstyling

I had a haircut shortened my hair and got bangs and had a really nice experience. I prebooked so there was no wait time and the place is clean. I didn't know what haircut I wanted at the start but Katsumi was very paitent and gave his own suggestions. It's a little bit pricer than your average cut and go but I could tell they take great care and paitence with each client so I'd say it's worth it.

Been a while since I went to Chura for a haircut, but it was nice to see the service and haircuts are still the same great quality. Pricing is about the same as other salons now it was a steal back in the day!. Nanami was excellent, took her time and checked in often.

I went to this Hair Salon for like 3 times and got decently satisfactory result, only this time they let a new stylist, Nanami cut my hair. She spent like 40 mins making sure my back and side hair as short and as perfectly align as possible, like a cup/ mushroom head, instead of actually addressing the style of front hair top hair. There's 0 sense of fashion and designers touch in it. I even gave her my desired haircut photo but it doesn't help at all. This is the worst haircut i got in 2 yrs and I'm going to look freaking ugly for a month until some of my side way hair grows back a bit. I think Churu will lose a regular customer after this because I'm going to look for a new hair salon and avoid this one from now on since Ik they have bad hair designer.Service: Hairstyling
