We had a great experience at chucks on family day. A party of six was treated exceptionally well by staff, our servers were excellent , the facility was easily accessed by my son in a power wheelchair , atmosphere was great . Steaks were cooked perfectly , excellent salads and appetizers. The large order was executed in an efficient manner . Dessert across the board was also fantastic . In addition we were pleasantly surprised at our bill it was less than we expected and in our budget for a quality family meal out . Great value, we will be returning , cheers ! Kid-friendliness: Our kids felt it was a great place ages 10-11-13 Parking: Big parking lot , wheelchair accessibility .
We went the other night for dinner. The staff were nice and polite. The bathrooms were really dirty. The seats we were sitting at you could see directly into the bathroom and people sitting on the toilet. I understand it’s a very small space but eww. We ordered burgers and they were way over cooked. The food came fast but was less than impressive. We won’t be going back to this location again.
Food was very good and inexpensive hats off to the kitchen team. The restaurant was cold and had a weird pressure issue whenever the doors were opened to the outside causing our ears to hurt. Our waitress had no time for us whatsoever. She didn't once ask us if we needed anything else or if our food was okay. It was some of the worst service we have experienced. I would give this restaurant another chance but will likely turn and leave if we go in and see the same waitress working. We went in on a Friday at 2:00 and it was busy at first so we thought it was why the service was terrible but by the time we left it was pretty empty and the service was just as bad. It's awful when one server can make you have a bad view of the whole place.
Meh... Food is "okay". Great atmosphere and nice enough staff a bit slack, but the food is lacking and the bathrooms were not too clean. Their price sharing idea is FANTASTIC, they just need to 'up' the quality and flavour of the food a bit and it'd be much better. don't order the salad: seems like it comes from a bag and the dressing tastes like Kraft bottled stuff, yech. GREAT FRIES.
****Update summer 2022. Ordered after 9pm apps, staff were amazing.....nachos and calamari were over cooked but the rest was so delicious, especially the wings. Definitely recommend late night half price apps ***Update: visited last night and ordered ribs with mash potatoes and gravy. Staff brought out ribs with cold fries and no gravy or side vegetable. Staff apologized & brought out potatoes and gravy but gravy was cold and potatoes were salty and off tasting. When I sent them back they said the hot plate/table had been turned off and he didnt notice; would take them off the bill. Did not take them off the bill but was too disgusted to disappoint my date by making it an issue. I cant believe they get away serving potentially harmful food that is not at proper temp. I'll be telling public health know as this was the second time this year. Will no longer be giving this restaurant a chance with my health. Valentines Day 2020: Wait staff was great, both steaks were over cooked and side dishes cold even after new ones were brought out. Burger and fries was decent. A few hours after threw up 12 hours straight assuming from the French onion soup since I was the only one who had it and neither of the other 2 with me got sick.
We just had the most unusual experience at a restaurant. I gave only 2 stars but it had nothing to do with the food. My husband and I went to Chuck's Roadhouse in Arthur, ON for lunch. The waitress, while walking by waved us to to a table and kept walking. We sat at the table and we could see that she was the only waitress working. She then walked by again putting 2 menus on the table and not speaking a word. She proceeded to take orders from another table. A man which appeared to be the manager came and took our drink and food order. A while later she came and put the food is on the table. Still not talking. My husband had to go find utensils and napkins as they were not given to us. Food was good. After lunch my husband went to the bar to pay the bill. She set it down in front of him, along with the debit machine and walked away. Not one word spoken to us the entire time. Not a thank you nor have a nice day. And she still received an 18% tip because that was the lowest tip allowance on the machine. I understand short staffed, but seriously, a waitress that won't speak to her customers?! Ashley, I hope your day improves.
We were a party of 4 and the duration from time food order was placed to when food arrived at table was more than 45 mins. We arrived prior to 4pm, the restaurant was not busy 3 tables were occupied with average of 4 ppl per table. Bathrooms were nasty but mens and ladies. Restaurant temperature was very cold, coats were required for sure. Overall experience was very disappointing.
After we were seated our server took our drink order. Upon returning, she asked if we were ready to order. We were not, so we asked 'give us a couple of minutes'. She then disappeared for 25 minutes and no one else would even look our way for us to get their attention. She eventually returned and took our order. Shortly before our food came out she dropped off some condiment bottles, which we later found were mostly empty, but of course, she was nowhere to be found again. We finally flagged down another server and voiced our complaints, but her response was that 'there's no manager here today, so not much she can do'. To add to this, the bathrooms were pretty disgusting. Overflowing trash can covering the floor to a 6 foot radius of the can. Bathrooms smelt horrible. One star given, mostly because the food was actually okay.
We went to Chuck's at 11:40am for lunch. Even though the sign for hours stated that they open at 11am, the doors were locked and chairs were still on top of tables. The doors were finally unlocked around 11:55am & there wasn't even an apology or a welcome. Everything seemed to be rushed. A sandwich which was ordered was very sloppy, it seemed as though the staff were in a rush to catch up. I won't return to this location and won't recommend it to friends.
Waited to be seated when it wasn't busy, service was slow, no communication between servers as we had 2 ask us the same things, got our food later than people who ordered after us. Another table's dip was brought out on my husband's plate and handed to the other table. Very unorganized, and food was ok
