Absolutely gorgeous park, great for families. Lots of sun and shade, picnic tables, splash pad, playground, duck pond and more. The washrooms were open in the Community Centre which is by the duck pond. Washrooms are wheelchair accessible but there is no family/any gender washroom.
Our little family visited Chippawa Park yesterday. We went to check out the new playground with our toddler. The renovated playground is great! There are three slide two bigger ones and one little on for toddlers ages 2-5. There are two big bell structures that kids can play and a bunch on sound plates that kids can touch to discover new sounds! I also really liked that the swing area was placed a little further back then the actual play structures. We will definitely be visiting this playground again!
A wonderful park with inclusive spaces for kids and kids alike. Beautifully kept with lots of trees & green space. It has three playgrounds one of which is a splash pad. Public restroom, picnic areas and two ponds to enjoy. Nice, peaceful settings.
Fantastic place for a family reunion. Lots of room for kids and adults to play. Nice pavilion, splash pad and well kept park. The restrooms were limited due to one due to the volleyball tournament so as a result, they were not very clean.
The new playground is pretty incredible! I hope people respect it, and dont destroy it. I grew up going to Chippawa park, i love the big open grassy hills.y 3 yo son can just RUN from one part of the park t[ the next and i dont have to worry about him being too close to the road. There are so many parts of the park to explore; the 2 playgrounds, baseball diamond, splash pad, sandy area for beach volleyball, the pond to check for ducks and geese, the rose garden, the Leon's statue etc. We always have a blast and are never bored when we go! We arebso lucky to be close by.
Great place for some family day tobogganing and skating too if that's your jam as the pond is frozen, and lovely trails to enjoy a walk too!
It was simply stunning during the last Fall 2020, we love this place. Check out the photos I took myself & you will see for yourself! :
Here for my son's baseball game. Nice park, ball diamonds are well maintained. Has a lot of other amenities and toilets are in the community centre building. Restrooms: Toilets are in the community centre building.
Went for a walk with my 4 daughters to enjoy the splash pad, but to our surprise the water was trickling down and only spewing out a little bit of the old rusted "fountain" that needs to be replaced. Also there could be more pathways to get from point to point within the park, pushing a triplet stroller through the grass isn't always easy. The park is beautiful, just needs some work.
Great park in the middle of the city large green spaces lovely rose garden pond freezes in winter for skating tobogganing on the hills. Brand new playground equipment for the young children.
