Went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We preferred the savory buns over the sweet ones, with the coconut bun being the exception as one of our favorites. The buns were light and fluffy and the meat fillings were delicious. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Regina. On another note, despite what some other people said, I found the woman that worked at the counter to be polite and helpful. We talked a little, joked around a bit, and it was what I would consider a good interaction all around.
Always popular and busy. Authentic tastes. Variety of selections.
So so good, a hidden gem for sure. You may wait in line a bit longer than anticipated so don’t come in a rush, but it’s worth it. Check out the Facebook page beforehand to see pictures of the buns!
Loved the buns and the tarts. plan ahead and call to know what's available and if planning to get a big batch of pastries.
Great place to grab our favourite Chinese style buns. We always make an effort to stop by here when we drive in from Calgary to visit. Our favourite is the sponge log cake, we always take back 3 with us!
I drove 350 km just to get these buns, This bakery is the best in Saskatchewan, if Not the best bakery in western Canada. They usually have 2 dozen different flavours to choose from, get there when they first open, I was there at 2pm and they we're almost sold out... Well worth the visit, and very affordable
Decent baking but service way too slow. Lineup to the door and owner continues to push/upsell to customers even after they’ve made it clear what they want in their order, and that they do not want anything else. You sell out regularly anyway so why waste people’s time this way? And after so many years in business how can you still be this inefficient? Everyone in line behind me was also visibly frustrated and at least one lady gave up and walked out . While there were only 3 customers ahead of me when I arrived, it took 25minutes to finally get to order. I told her which buns I wanted and she continued to repeat three times what other buns they had and did not have. She wouldn’t stop until I firmly told her I just wanted my 6 buns and to leave. Do not go on the weekend unless you want to wait in line for awful service and in a space with no seating or even A/C! Can’t imagine what it would be like to be elderly and trying wait/shop here…
Super tasty buns come early or order ahead.
Nice selection of pastries. Coconut tarts were our fave. The owner was a treat to talk to.
Go early. Delicious buns. Better than the ones you find in Asian bakeries in Vancouver for sure.
