Nice hidden gem in downtown Barrie that is definitely worth checking out. The atmosphere has a wonderful vibe with great lighting and nice decor. We shared a large fondue and cheesecake sampler which fed our group of five perfectly. I think next time we will try the all fruit fondue since our group wasn’t too fond of all the waffles and marshmallows - Glad they have that as an option for next time! Only suggestion is we would have enjoyed our water sooner and preferred if water refills came faster, although it is understandable as they were quite busy on the Saturday we visited.
The desserts and drinks are PHENOMENAL! The best desserts and some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. The atmosphere of Chillz is amazing and purely indescribable, you need to come check it out for yourself! I’ve recommended this lounge to countless friends, and will continue to do so. For sure my favourite place in Barrie!
We ordered a B52, a lavender martini, the fondue, and sticky toffee pudding. The sticky toffee pudding is one of the best I've had in a long time. Fondue chocolate was had good balance in sweetness. Our waiter Antonio was great! Recommended the perfect drinks and desserts for us. My girlfriend is in love with the martini with empress gin. Can't wait to head back! The view is pretty nice too! Patio is nicely lit with cozy seating.
Second time here. This time I got a maple smoked brandy Alexander and a koffee karamel kiss doesn’t much the menu. It was alright but the cocktail was very good. First time I got a smoked old fashioned and sticky toffee pudding. The old fashioned was very good but the sticky toffee pudding was very hard and dry. Seems they know how to make cocktails but I’m let down by their desserts. Next time I’ll get the creme brûlée or the crepes as I’m told these are very good.
Space is a little too small for me. They didn't have the beef or chicken nachos during the time that we ordered. But so far everything was really good. Loved the fondue and the cucumber melon tea. Servers were nice too and the atmosphere is somehow relaxing even with the small space that the resto have. Water also came in a champagne-like bottle which was surprising on my part Big thumbs up from me
Although I go here only once in a while, it's always a great treat for me. This time was no exception. Not only is the food amazing, but the atmosphere is cozy and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Chillz has a charcuterie plate which I haven't yet tried and possibly one or two other savoury items, but the majority of what they have are desserts. Everything from cakes, to crepes and waffles, to their own dessert creations, there are plenty of options for sharing with a group, sharing with a date, and treating yourself. For drinks, they have coffee, tea and espresso beverages latte, cappuccino, etc. which can be iced, blended iced or hot. They also have plenty of amazing-sounding cocktails, and although I don't drink, my partner has loved them every time we've gone. They also have wine and other alcoholic drinks. Every waitress we've had has been great and very friendly, but this last time we went, Deanna chatted with us, making us feel like more than customers. If she's there when you go, tell her David's review brought you there!
We were they today and we had a great time. I would say one of best dessert place i have ever been. really good desserts and awesome service.
Was there tonight with a girlfriend, had amazing dessert and amazing service. I don't usually do this but around 9:30pm this couple walked in who looked like they were not completely sober. They kept disturbing our meal yelling across the whole restaurant at the server and bartender. The server even cried after they left but not before calling her a bunch of names. We apologized she has to deal with things like that. Extremely recommend this place, please be kind to your servers!
Next time I’ll just skip dinner and go straight here. Delicious. Great service. Great view. Great selection. Best place to get dessert or coffee. Loved it.
My wife and I arrived around 9:30 at night and we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. This was only because the place was full and not because nobody came to see us. Once seated, the attendant was very friendly and full of positive personality. We ordered the cookies and cream cheese cake and dark temptation. Both dishes were excellent. Great sizes and perfect taste. Not to mention the great presentation. The complimentary water jug is a bonus and I like how they limit waste by using utensils that can be washed. I also noticed that a lot of their ingredient containers are reusable. The only thing missing is a chocolate moose. I would have preferred that over the chocolate frozen yogurt that came with the dark temptation. There should be an option for this. We enjoyed the experience and will definitely return. I hope they get a location with more seating one day.
