Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre

Was here for a swim meet but the facilities was pretty nice. Plenty of parking. They have an 8 lane lap pool, lazy river, wave pool, and a water slide. There is even a spray park outside. I can see it as a good place to take the family for a swim.

Stumbled upon this place on a Sunday morning looking for something active to do, and honestly it was such a solid find. The ice rink was in great shape and there were pickup hockey games going on that made the whole atmosphere really energetic. Staff at the front desk were super friendly and helped me figure out the public skate schedule without any hassle. If you're new to Chilliwack and want to get a feel for the community vibe, this is genuinely one of the better spots to spend a weekend morning.

Idk about anyone else but I can't handle cold water, a public pool is literally human soup, and that water isn't even warm enough to bath a baby let alone fight the bacteria from 100's of people each day. Even the got tub is barely warm, you can't call it a hot tub at all. I really wish they would raise the temperature at least to a bearable temperature, so we can swim comfortably without blue lips and goose bumps. Seriously it's not river if we wanted to swim in freezing cold we'd go outside.. I'm pretty sure they make enough money to heat it properly..

Half the pool was closed, leaving nowhere suitable for kids to swim. There were no waves during the entire 3 hours we were there, and the water slide wasn’t open. The hot tub that was available didn’t allow kids, so the only option for them was a single lane in the cold pool. The diving board was closed as well.

Would not let a grey haired senior citizen not an unaccompanied child or other safety issue pay to enter with the rest of the family, who was let in, because the senior citizen had no photo ID. Absurd triumph of bureaucracy over community service.
