Chez Thony

This was my first experience and I was very pleased. We were well greeted by a very friendly and polite man. My mother and I ordered from their lunch "table d'hote" menu. Our salad was served with a full flavor light and refreshing house dressing. The sides of rice that came with our meals were amazing! Their white rice had a pleasant fragrance. The griot was juicy and moist on the inside. So tasty! The plantains were lightly crisp on outside and tender on the inside. The black pepper kidney was cooked to perfection and the texture was so satifying to chew. For dessert we order an upside down pineapple cake to share and the portion was huge! It was perfectly moist, not too dense, and sweet with a little caramelized taste. We really appreciated the little added touch of fresh flowers on each table. Excellent price for value. We can't wait to return to try everything else on the menu.

Wonderful food! Our server was really great, the food came out fast and fresh. My girls and I all got different dishes to share and each one was delicious! Highly recommend if you want something a little different

Chez Thony is a Haitian restaurant in Cote-Des-Neiges. I tried the griot and I was very pleased with how tasty it was! You can really taste the marinade for this griot. They also had excellent rice and peas. Service was impeccable and the restaurant was clean and so beautiful. I’ll definitely be coming back. The chef also greets you to make sure everything was fine! This place deserves all the attention it can get. :

We ordered the chicken dish from the Haitian menu and the salmon filet from the French menu. The quality was excellent, but the portions were small, especially considering the price. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but lacked seasoning and acidity. The pikliz on the side gave it flavor though.The chicken was tender and flavorful - one of the best I have ever tried. The service was friendly, especially since we arrived less than an hour before closing. Chef Thony even came to our table to see if we enjoyed the food.

Overall, the restaurant "Chez Thony" is very elegant and well designed. Food Wise, I would give the food a 9/10. I recommend trying something new if you go there since it will give you a chance to experience the Haitian culture and make your money's worth. I recommend this restaurant to someone looking to try something new and/or if you're interested in the Haitian culture.

Divine environment, very reasonable price. Haitian food is also tasty, presentation is beyond satisfying. One of the best around CDN plus it's convenient to public transit & Pokemon Stops.
