Chez Hailar..The best restaurant in Montreal. The place is small and not too fancy but very unique and artistic. I loved the homely ambience, the music, the fishes staring at the mouthwatering food placed on your table. Just look at the board outside the restaurant and be amazed you can get special food at 4.99$.. I tried The Persian tea☕️🌷, Napoleon Cake🎂 and Hailar Special Turkey Sandwich. You will realize that the prices are lower than most maybe every other restaurant in Downtown and food quality is excellent. Just try it and enter 🏄🏻🚣🏾‍♀️the mesmerizing Saffron castle 🏇🏼in Montreal that only a few have stepped in👍 @honest opinion after trying expensive and low quality food at many restaurants near Concordia since arriving in May.

Service is good. I went there on the opening day and the food was pretty good. Went back a couple of weeks ago and food quality was not that great and I felt the prices have increased a lot. Maybe it depends on who is preparing the food.. Nice place to sit, but food is nothing special at all. Not a good price-quality place.

I was very excited to this restaurant, the experience left a bitter taste in mouth ! I was there with three friends and we entered exactly at 6:30 p.m., the waitress took our order. What really bothered me was the fact the waitress sat right in front of us pretending to read her magazine. She was listening to our Farsi conversation and did not move until the food arrived! There was no other customer, she just did not move the whole time! I was on the phone with my friend giving the address of the restaurant, she interrupted my conversation and yelled across the room; you are wrong about the address! At the same time, two other co-workers chitchatting and eating in the middle of the restaurant with earshot of us. I completely understand that the restaurant is small, maybe employees do not have enough space to take their break in the separate room. Listening to someone conversation and starring at them while we try to eat is completely unprofessional! Servers should not have a personal conversation with another server within earshot of customers. My food showed up really late, the server messed up my order. I asked her specifically about the topping on my pizza, I guess she was reading her magazine. It would be really nice if you could add some non-dairy options in your menu.

Great for, great prices! Went with my dad for literally the $5 lunch special. The gentleman who took the order was friendly, chatted with my dad and made both of s feel very welcome. That alone is worth $5. The sandwich was great: piles, meats, cheese, fresh bread (roll) and flavourful. Ice tea/coke was also included. In the past I've had their pizza--also quite unique and very tasty. Well done1

I love this place. We were in Montreal and looked for a place to have Persian style Pizza. Someone told us about Hailar and we wanted to give it a try. It was really good!! Place looks very nice, the Pizza was so good, and the staff was very friendly. Definitly will go back and will recommend it to others.
