Cheshire Medical Center: Righi Paul D MD

I was diagnosed with a fairly large complex thyroid nodule on the right side, goiter back in August of 2014. I had it biopsied and checked periodically to see if I needed to have it removed. In 2019, when I had an ultrasound done again, I was told it had continued to grow and it was recommended that it be removed. I had a partial thyroidectomy performed early March 2020. Dr. Righi did an incredible job. He walked me through the procedure and what to expect afterwards. My nodule was the size of a fist and had a nerve wrapped around it like a ball of yarn. I was very glad I had made the decision to have it removed. I was kept in the hospital overnight and released the following morning. Dr. Righi did an incredible job making sure the incission was along the neck crease and his stitching was perfectly done. I should have minimal scarring when it is completely healed. I would highly recommend Dr. Righi.

Went to Dr. Righi for the first time with a throat problem. He did all the proper testing, asked plenty of questions and listened. More importantly...when I saw my summary, I found he had listened to every little thing I said. Not just info from my medical records but things we had talked about that very day. Wow, a competent doctor that listens too!
