I wanted to try this restaurant for a couple of weeks and I am glad I did! This cozy little restaurant is just a block away from the mountain and is well situated on a busy street. There are a couple of stools and a counter for those who want to eat there. I decided to try the choripan. It was very tasty, well seasoned and fresh off the grill. It was also brought to me very quickly. For dessert, I decided to opt for chocolate-filled churros which were just as good as the main course.
Wow just wow! Looking for somewhere to refuel when wandering the plateau or heading to the mountain? Check out my friends at Che Churros & Empanadas. BEST empanadas I’ve ever had & they were gluten free! Highly recommend the 2 empanadas + soup special. It was the warm hug I needed on a cold gloomy day. It brought sunshine to my eyes. Bonus points for adding new songs to my playlist I recommend taking time to sit and enjoy the chill vibe away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you can’t wait to be back! Bonus for having a single stall toilet for people to use.
Delicious empanadas! I asked for recommendations on the best flavors and chose a couple of others. The service was incredible and quick!
Wanted a quick snack, so we popped in and had 2 Vegan-friendly empanadas. They were delicious and filled with tasty vegetables. Their salsa that comes with it is also very delicious. Slightly spicy. Dietary restrictions: Vegan Friendly.
Cute little place with really flavourful empanadas and churros. Pricing was excellent, taste was excellent but they are pre-made and reheated which was totally fine. Not very spicy be that good or bad.
We happened to stop by while trying to find a place to stay warm over the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised with their empanada. They have many different options and I tried their spicy beer - it’s actually very spicy. I’d love to go back to try the other options available. They’re also reasonably priced, $4 an empanada.
Ordered two empanadas - the spicy beef and bacon+cheese, as well as the chuuro + Americano special. Picked chimichurri as the sauce. Everything was amazing, and I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more.
I had a great experience here, staff was very friendly. The empanadas were still good even when I reheat them at home for lunch the next day. I suggest you take the spicy sauce to dip them in.
Had the chorizo, spicy beef, and pancetta plum empanadas and they were delicious. Grilled cheese and custard churros were great too. Alfajores was nice. Tamal de pollo wasn't really for me but it was better than other places.Food: 5/5
Lots of options to choose from! I ordered the carne picante and the artichoke empanadas. The artichoke could use some more flavour for sure! I also wished that the filling and the shell would be more integrated. It was more like two different elements that didn't come together. The true standout for me was the chocolate covered alfajore which was amazing. Like an elevated wagon wheel.
