Very pleasant service at the spadina location. Servers were attentive and our order arrived very promptly. Delivery drivers popping in and out so I know this place is popular for the take out scene as well. Overall the food was good albeit salty, but expected. Intestines stuffed with green onions were really good! Grilled red date with walnut was surprisingly well received. Nice place to come as a group to hang out and have a drink over some grilled meats.

I think I getting too old for having heavily seasoned meaty skewers for dinner. My kids did enjoy the food. Grilled oysters were good but watch out for the red pepper if you can’t eat really spicy food. This is a great place to enjoy eating barbecue and drinking beer as well. It’s a busy place. The ambience is magnificent. I tried almost all the lamb barbecues and they’re cooked to perfection. No complaints. So if you’re in the Chinatown area, try this place. Highly recommended.

Our first time doing izakaya-style Chinese skewers and we loved it. Not only we’re the skewers delicious and super hot and fresh, the setup is so well thought out; super quick service; clean space; and so much variety. The spicy beef soup bowl was divine—I would come back just for that alone, let alone all of it. The scallops were so good, much better value and taste than the oysters and a bit less. The eel is one of my favourite skewers. Highly suggest you pacing yourself when ordering so you don’t over order and also allows for the skewers to be hot when you enjoy because the bbq if you let them sit for long get cold and dry. But when received it’s hot fresh and so juicy! Can’t wait to be back. Love the atmosphere and vibe too. Perfect for friends drinking night or even a date.

Amazing restaurant, a definitely must go! Two down notes: only cash or debit and their pork intestines have weird tastenot recommended. The staffs are super nice! We first ordered way to much and they kindly helped us making the selections through. Expect loud club music after 10pm, before is nice calm sweet Chinese music ambiance.

Arrived around opening and it was able to get a table right away. The server was friendly and read back our order to us. The atmosphere was calm and we didn't feel rushed through our meals. They perfectly paced how the items came out which was awesome!Food: 5/5

This place is fantastic for skewers! You can choose from different spice level we got regular and everything was so flavourful. Some areas of the restaurant are dimly lit so it could be a bit difficult to read the menu, however, it certainly adds to the chill, casual environment at Chat Bar. This is a fun environment for a date night or a dinner with friends! Big thanks to our servers Nikki, Demi, and Skye for providing excellent service! They were attentive, double checked out order to ensure we received everything, and explained how some skewers came in a package of 4 to help us avoid over ordering.

Amazing food and great price, I really enjoyed the aesthetics of the restaurant - the way it was decorated makes one feel as if they are walking inside a cute street market. It’s covid friendly as they have their own booths to sit in. The bbq was delicious, and the Japanese drinks were great- about 3% alcohol content but really just taste like the most delicious soft drinks. Perfect for those who want to take it easy!

Food was fantastic! It's a modern, hip Chinese restaurant that serves grilled meats, veggies, etc on skewers. We ordered a variety of dishes: beef, beef short ribs, pork belly, quail, eel, rice cakes, buns, lotus, garlic eggplant and a spicy-sour soup. Fav meat dishes are eel and pork. Other must tries are the garlic eggplant and rice cakes! Our server, Demi, was friendly and attentive. She kindly explained things on the menu that we were not familiar with. Overall, the entire crew was very welcoming and all greeted us as we entered and left the restaurant.

Ivy was so nice and kind to wait us last night. The whole dining experience was seamless and the food was delicious as always! We got the table on the outside when the sun was setting, we got offered to move the table a bit of inward to the wall so we could sit against the bright sunglow. Very thoughtful and problem solving quick action/service! Enjoyed our meal a lot! Will come back soon!
