Chase Bank

Was told I needed to speak with a banker to complete the transaction. When I asked "great, where is the banker?" the response was "he is on lunch right now." My response to that was "ok, well can I speak with your supervisor or manager then to complete this transaction?" Teller response: "she is on lunch also." me: when do either one of them get back? teller: in about an hour. me: so I have to wait to finish my transaction for one whole hour before you can complete this transaction? Teller: yes. (The Transaction was cashing a $19,000 check cashier's check. I have triple the amount in my checking account alone to cover the funds if the check was not good.Teller said they could not do it because they were not a 'banker' and could not call the drawing bank and verify the funds were good and the check was good) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE ONE PHONE CALL AND VERIFY THE FUNDS, ON A TUESDAY AFTERNOON WHERE I AM THE ONLY PERSON IN LINE?!?!?!?!?!??!?! (I called the drawing bank after I left to verify that funds were good. The entire phone call, even entering the phone number and letting it ring took me a grand total of 1 minute and 47 seconds.) Note to self...I have been in the banking industry. I am a former VP of a bank. If you would like to retain your clients, especially ones with bank accounts like mine where you make thousands of dollars per year on the yield, I would suggest you NEVER send your only two people of authority on lunch at the same time. Absolutely ridiculous. To the upper management team, please look me up in your database if you would like to speak with me directly. I would be more than happy to inform you who this teller was, which day it was, and the time.

Kimberly in Business banking is the best in town. I've switched between several institutions and while I loved the downtown branch for Chase as well, I feel very at home working with the Fred Meyer branch. They really went the extra mile to take care of me... on a Friday afternoon no less!! Thanks a million you are doing a great job!

The worst experience I have had as a customer in a bank anywhere in Oregon. I walked in to open a top end credit card. The clerk didn't know anything about the card. She did not know her products at all. So I requested assistance from someone who did know. She told me i need to speak with a banker but it was saturday and was usually too busy with appointments and the banker was full up? Really? I then made a suggestion that they have someone else on staff to assist on saturdays if customer needs were there. To which she replied we are not always busy like this every saterday. Anyways, the end result is i got nowhere, no information, no real assistance and did not open a credit card with chase.

All the employees at the Fred Myer Branch are wonderful, especially DALE!!!
