Unfortunately not located in New York, it's on its own worth a trip to lovely Litchfield to check out Charym. Since I have had my first Epicurian facial there it has become the level at which I measure others. Does the therapist explain why and what and how something is applied? Usually not really, but at Charym I was smoothly guided through the process and - maybe this is a guy thing - but I much appreciated to understand what a Cinnamon peal does and for the organic facial that one can quickly eat some of the cream away (if no one is looking). On a more serious note, the products are of great quality, the staff is really nice and the massage (get the relaxing oil one) is just really nice. Many good 5* hotels should come by and learn something!

I live in NY and drive up to Charym. It's that good! Fantastic instructors, amazing space. And a spa that does raw food facials. Genus!

I highly recommend the gem of a sanctuary, Charym. I loved the revitalizing flow yoga with Maureen, she wakes every part of your body and connects you to your spirit- it's delicious! It's a very multi-sensorial, wholistic experience with fabulous music, aromatic oils, amidst a serene environment. The spa is intimate, tranquil, and transporting. I had an Ayurvedic massage which was healing and nurturing. The design is world class but understated in a very organic way. The people are lovely. I drove up from the city for a weekend retreat, by myself, and look forward to the next one where I'll bring my girl friends.

It is the best yoga experience I have ever had. Beautifully conceived and designed environment and fabulous teachers. I highly recommend it.

I have never had a massage or facial so wonderful. My skin felt amazing and I left fealing like a new person!
