We came here for date night and absolutely love this place. We made reservation ahead of time online and were seated promptly. Service was good and all the orders came in the timely manner. Our cocktails were great. Clams were very fresh and flavorful. Both duck pork tenderloin were tender and juicy. Great ambiance and really liked to decorations. We would definitely come back again.
Right to the point, not bad but not great. We enjoyed dinner here as a party of 4, the environment is between casual and business casual. I enjoyed the atmosphere for the most part and with some of the prices I expected the food would speak for itself. Sadly I think it was lacking to get a better star rating. I ordered the fancy duck fat whiskey drink which was enjoyable but the duck fat flavor didn't really come through so I think it's just a selling feature that's fine, the drink was still good. Following that I had the lamb which the server gave me fair warning that it was pretty fatty, she wasn't wrong I still enjoyed it until I got to the second and third piece which were cut thinner so rather than being medium rare they were well done which was very unfortunate. Another note for this dish, please update your website menu price which was $42 for the lamb and $54 on the menu when ordering, this is enough of a price jump to correct it in a timely manner. I can't speak too much for the other dishes but my father got the sirloin which he said he enjoyed and it looked very good, my mother got the salmon which didn't seem bad but wasn't good enough to make her comment on how good it was either, and finally my wife got the pork belly which she enjoyed. After dinner we ordered several desserts and I tried the chocolate cake which was nice but lacking in flavor, maybe adding a bit more of the sauce it came with or something else to help elevate the sponge cake would make it better. Overall, I would probably come back but I would venture out to try other places downtown before returning.
Had a disappointing experience with both the service and the food. We arrived at our appointment time, but still waited outside for 20+ minutes because the table was not ready yet. The waitress forgot my drink and I had to call her for it after finishing our appetizers. Overall too much salt added to the food. The Wagyu steak is a strong NOT-recommended. The beef quality is below Costco, and my medium was over-cooked almost to well. My husband ordered the duck and it was the highlight for our dinner. Love the carrot sauce. Spent 270+ for three and I won’t come back again.
A pleasant experience. Googled and found this place in Edmonds, WA. The ambience is very artsy and upbeat. Love the high ceilings. There is also a patio but it had too many flies. The servers were great and attentive. The cheeseboard, soup, and burgers were excellent. We will be back.
Spaceous place, attentive service. The dishes we had were delicious. Recommend the pork belly. The 24oz bone in rib eye at $98 was kinda hard on the wallet, but was superb and delicious. The seasoning was just right. Writing about it is making me want one right now!Dine in: Yes
My friends and I dined here for the first time on Sunday night. A friends birthday was the occasion. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance is a clean spacious comfy environment. I like how part of the dining room leads out into the adjacent artist studios. The acoustics were okay, but I’m curious how they are with a full dining room. The occupancy was about third full but it was Super Bowl Sunday so we weren’t there on a busy night. The servers we encountered all seemed very helpful and had a good sense of timing. I appreciate a good interaction with intrusion. The food overall was scrumptious! A bit heavy on the salt, but it’s not the end of world. I do want to return to try a few more dishes on the menu especially the salmon and the pork. Overall, I think this place is a great addition to a growing dining scene. I look forward to my next visit.
Attentive service and delicious food! We loved the space as well. The NY strip and halibut were both excellent, but we especially loved the pickled veggie app and the coffee creme brule. Would definitely come back to try more things!
The food was 10/10 and our Server Gabriel was awesome and our drinks were sooooo good. One incident about the food was our friends Halibut was very dry and exchanged it for the Smash burger. The General Manager came to our table and apologized and said the fish was unacceptable. “Who does that kind of service” they took the fish and then the Smash burger off their bill as an apology. Again, what restaurant does that now a days. Thank you and I will definitely spread the word around about this awesome restaurant and excellent food !!!
Lovely, chic restaurant. Came in with my gf and we both really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I rarely get desserts, but when I saw a pumpkin bread pudding we needed to share one.Food: 5/5
Charcoal is one of if not the best restaurants in Edmonds right now. The space itself is strikingly beautiful with the kitchen on full display, including their Argentinian style charcoal grill. They have some very unique and delicious craft cocktails, as well as a huge wine list and some local favorite beers on tap. We enjoyed some amazing yellow curry clams and the decadent fish sauce caramel braised pork belly, both with succulent pickled daikon & carrots. The bread pudding was to die for, accompanied by a selection of divine amaros to choose from. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and down to earth. The atmosphere is great and we cannot wait to go back.
