CHAR'D Grill

First time trying Char’d Grill and I was very happy with my food! Ordered the quarter chicken with Kingston Kick Jerk sauce placed on a bed of waffles fries, and some vegetable rice on the side. It was the perfect amount of spice on the jerk sauce, with lots of flavour! Yummy! Fries were crisp and tasty. Rice was delicious and paired well with the chicken. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Delicious flavours on the charred meat and decent portions for the price. Nick, the owner, is a very friendly guy and you can tell he is passionate about the food he serving. One thing I will flag, if you plan to take-out, be sure to enjoy the food asap and not keep it waiting in the box. The hot food packed in a box will make the food soggy. It would also be nice if the food came with sauce on the side to add more flavour and cure the dryness!

First time trying this place out…no regrets! Had the Kansas City BBQ Beef Short Ribs with the Waffle Fries. It was beyond what I expected. The taste was spot on. The BBQ sauce had a nice, smoky flavour to it which enhanced the beef. The portion size was perfect for a lunch. Definitely worth a repeat visit in the near future!

Was excited to try this place out. The food was ok not amazing. We found the chicken quite dry. The ribs were tasty, though the portions are small. The place is clean and the lady at cash was very friendly.

Dropped by bear randomly after I was in the area and searched for Halal food. Their Moga/Cassava root fries are just too good. I tried their short ribs as well, quantity and quality were spot on and really fairly priced menu as well. I will be visiting again to try the other option. Nice mix of East African and western touch in their flavour. Absolutely loved it. One point I would like to definitely bring attention to amid the great experience is that the rice was very very bland, I am sure they can add more flavour to it.

I was thoroughly surprised with my underwhelming experience as compared to the Google ratings. Looks like it is hard to trust Google reviews. I ordered beef platter and paid around $40. After eating, I kept thinking about what I could have done with $40 instead. The beef was watery and very cheewy! I didn't enjoy it at all! Oh, and there was VERY LITTLE MEAT for the price tag of $40! Super Underwhelming... The sauce is ok. Not too good but not bad either. It was hot enough for me. The vegetable rice were too plain to eat. No flavor. Some vegetables seemed fresh and others seemed like they came from frozen vegetable bags. Again, I added some sauces from home to be able to get it to a point so I can eat it. I didn't like it! Their waffles were amazing! Warm, crisp, great consistency and texture. I ate them with ketchup. Loved them. I don't think I will be returning here.

Sooo good. From the unique grill concept to the unique flavors, there isn’t a grill spot like this. You need to check this place out, from the food being to die for to the top tier customer service. You will not be disappointed!

Quite disappointed with our visit to this place. Food was served to us in takeout boxes with paper plates with no trays. Meet proportions were very small!!!! Vegetable rice was terrible! They need to hurry to upgrade that. Waffles fries were too hard! Meat was tasteless in several of the seasoning. Felt extremely artificial eating it. They are simply dipped into the sauces and have no marinating of its own. I couldn't taste salt in any of thr meat. Overly burnt bbq. Food was simply warmed up and given to us. There was no heat of the actual BBQ. Service heartbreaking!!! Felt we were going to a school canteen! We walked in and the resturant was floor and tables were dirty, after serving us, all the staff sat down and cared too little to maintain their resturant. We traveled very far for this place as it had a good rating. I'm sad.

Oh I wanted to like this place so much. I was so excited to try it. We ended up trying the Mixed Platter. Koren Bbq Ribs & Skewar and Zanzibar Zing Chicken Skewers. Paired it with waffle fries and rice. I'll keep this short and simple Waffle fries - Great Chicken - a little dry. Ribs/ Skewer- Average Rice- Bland The staff is very nice. They even had a DJ present when we went.

I get take out from here. The staff have packed it so well that it let me speechless. Each takeout bag will contain the neccessary condiments, packaged cutlery with wet wipes, and a take out container that is sealed with a sticker! I got the Korean bbq short ribs with vegetable rice on the side. It was extremely filling and delicious! A few days ago, I also got to try their box it meal with a short rib wrap and waffle fries! This was also extremely filling and this meal came with a drink!
