A gem in owen sound. Whenever we're in the area and want Chinese food this is our #1 choice and Channings restaurant never disappoints. Fyi take out only no dine in since the pandemic. We decided to eat our meal by the water nearby. Beautiful view and delicious food.
I used to eat here often 30 years ago when I worked next door to their previous location. Came back to OS for a family event a few weeks ago, and got takeout. I was greeted by the same woman, and the food took me right back in time! So good!Food: 5/5
Good food and big portions for a good price. quick and very friendly service. Was no area available to sit and dine as all the chairs were up on the tables at 3pm on a week day, but I was going for take out anyways. Always my go to Chinese restaurant in owen sound. Been going here since i was a kid and hope to continue to with my kids now.
Very disappointed that this restaurant is no longer a done in place and is take out only. My family used to go to here to enjoy a nice dinner together for years and years and now all you can get is take out which is just not the same. Portions are smaller, and the food is just not as good as it used to be. So sad! The restaurant needs major updating.
Food - I ordered beef fried rice and Mild Singapore Noodles. They were pretty good. I enjoyed the noodles. Service was good - the waitress was attentive and cheerful. Decor - a bit outdated.
The service was good but the portions of food were not acceptable. We ordered a beef dish and a shrimp dish and we got maybe 4 or 5 bites of beef and maybe 10 tiny shrimp in these massive containers. The rest was green peppers and broccoli. I know meat is expensive but this was insulting with the amount we paid for two meat dishes that were 90% vegetables in take out containers Tasted pretty good still.

Good quality foods & good service. Only thing that tasted kinda weird is Beef Lo Mien; there was strange smell from it but tasted good
We just moved to Owen Sound from Toronto. I’m half Chinese, so I’m picky about both authentic AND Chinese Canadian food. When it comes to Chinese Canadian fare, Channing turned out to be better than anything we had near us in the city. Definitely recommend and this will be our new go-to place!
Excellent Chinese food fresh and light chicken balls and shrimp but sauce and rice could be better? Sauce was a tad runny and rice hard. Maybe if they went to a Jasmin rice and a richer sauce best ever.
