A relatively large transfer hub for integrated transport, connecting trains with local buses as well as a route to the airport. It would be much better, however, if the trains ran directly to the airport so passengers wouldn't need to transfer halfway there. Otherwise, the station is modern, spacious, offers ticket purchases, and provides all the information you might need. That said, I find the ticketing system overly complicated—it would be much simpler if it worked like in Toronto, where you can use payment cards directly.
Been coming to Edmonton for 30 years to visit family here and today is the first day on ETS. I should have done this before. Fast, clean, efficient and almost on time.
Lrt is great, but some people just have 0 manners and think doing anything is acceptable
Good service. Crowded as always esp during rush hour. Escalator does not work at most time but stairs are good option for exercise.
The 747 bus takes you to the Century station and from there you can take a quick let ride to downtown or other parts of Edmonton. All of this works pretty efficiently, though there are no bus lanes so the bus can get stuck in traffic. Payment is confusing. I paid $5 only cash accepted for the bus and $3.50 for the train. On the way back there was an option to $5 for the whole trip. However, when I went to pay for the lrt it did not accept cards so I paid with a $20 bill and was given a ticket and a pocket full of change. On the way to the airport it said I received a ticket and was printing my receipt, but I did not get either. When I was boarding a bus a passenger before me said she tried six times to get a bus ticket but it did not work. The bus driver let her on for free. Paying seems to be a huge issue with this system. Also passengers did a good job of depositing their garbage in a bin. The lrt should do a better job of emptying those bins.
