I go to this school and can confirm it's a really good environment ! The students are very charismatic and sympathetic and friendly ! The profs are also very encouraging and make the school a welcoming environment to learn french !

This was one of the worst experiences I have had since coming to Canada.nI do not speak French, which is exactly why I am trying to learn it. However, when I called the center for assistance, the staff repeatedly told me that they only speak French and hung up on me several times. Is there really no English-speaking staff at the center? Even if the first person could not help me, they could have transferred the call to someone else. Instead, the calls were simply disconnected.nWhen I visited the center in person to register, I felt as if I was being punished rather than helped. I was told that my documents were incomplete and instructed to send the missing documents by email. I sent them immediately. Despite sending the documents multiple times, I was repeatedly told that they had not been received and that I should “wait.”nI asked if there was any other way to resolve the issue, but the only response I received was “wait.” No alternative solutions were offered, and no explanation was given. Whenever I tried to ask questions, I was told only to “sit and wait.”nI arrived at the center at 9:00 a.m. and remained there until after 2:00 p.m. solely for registration. During that time, many people who arrived later than me were registered and left before I did. Meanwhile, staff members were laughing, drinking coffee, and eventually left together for lunch, while I was still being told to wait.nThe repeated command to “wait,” delivered in a dismissive manner, made me feel humiliated and degraded, as if I were being treated like a pet rather than a human being. I am a person. No one should be treated like an animal simply because they are a foreigner. Experiencing this kind of treatment at a place that teaches French is deeply troubling.nThis experience was so distressing that it has made me lose my desire to continue studying French. It was the worst experience I have had since arriving in Canada. I strongly believe that MIFI has a responsibility to properly supervise and manage these centers so that no one else has to go through what I experienced.nI have already sent an email to formally raise this issue, but I have not received any response. I would like to know where else I can file an official complaint and what further steps I can take to ensure this matter is properly addressed

Such a frustrating experience. Peak bureaucratic absurdity. I've been waiting 6 months for language classes through the Francisation program and this school contacts me. They insist I come between 8:30-11am the following Thursday to enrol. Weird time, most people work and the classes are online evening classes anyways so you'd assume enrolment would follow that schedule/format? nope. They also ask that you have original documents when you come. Your letter from the government which came through A PORTAL, proof of residency, birth certificate, etc. They even specify that they want their form signed in blue ink I'm sorry???????. I tell them that I only have electronic copies of most things, and suggest that I could email them. For example, my lease is a PDF. I've never even met my landlord. No one gets back to me. A woman calls me a week later. She hasn't read my email, no one has I guess. I explain the situation and she says that unless I have a paper copy of a lease I cannot enrol in classes. The insistence on originals only especially when the government has already verified your documents through their official program is so redundant. They’ve literally created a system that prioritizes arbitrary rules over actual human practicality. It's like someone is trying to make this as difficult as possible for anyone trying to comply. I wonder what would happen if I signed the form with black ink? Chef’s kiss for inefficiency.

It is one of the best centers in Montreal to learn french. The teachers are amazing, really well prepared, the admlnistrative staff is very organized.

I want to change the review, I think it will be more objective. Still, if a person wants, he will learn! During my time studying here, I realized that everyone’s experience is very personal. Of course, at the beginner level, it can be stressful when you don’t understand something, but after a few weeks, I haven’t met a single unpleasant teacher—everyone genuinely tries to help. Even though after the first lesson 8:25 AM – 12:45 PM I sometimes feel like running off to work, I stay for the extra classes because I really enjoy them and feel like they make me a little smarter. Well, if I have to repeat the course—so be it!
