The nearest SkyTrain station, Patterson Station, named for Burnaby pioneer Dugald Campbell Patterson, is at the park's northeast corner. The main entrance to Central Park is off Kingsway near Patterson Avenue.Central Park was once a naval reserve set aside as a source of masts and spars for ships of the Royal Navy. The park was named to honour Mrs. David Oppenheimer, the wife of Vancouver's second mayor, who was born in New York City.Central Park's primary attraction is the large proportion of its land reserved as a well-preserved temperate rainforest ecosystem, with numerous walking trails. Among its other attractions are the award-winning children's playground, pitch and putt golf, an outdoor swimming facility, a lawn bowling facility, several picnic areas, tennis courts, and a couple of small duck ponds. This spot is fantastic for a run or walk, offering a well-maintained path with plenty of things to explore. There's a tennis court for those looking to play, and during the warmer months, the outdoor swimming pool is a great option to cool off. Along the path, you'll also find exercise machines, perfect for a quick workout break.nnHowever, I wouldn’t recommend visiting alone at night, as the area doesn’t feel particularly safe after dark. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy during the day, but caution is advised when the sun goes down.

Enjoy a scenic stroll or jog along the trails, surrounded by towering trees that create a peaceful atmosphere. The picnic tables and chairs make it the perfect spot for gatherings with family and friends. Kids will have a blast at the playground, and the ponds teeming with geese and ducks provide an enjoyable experience for all.nnWithout a doubt, Central Park in Burnaby is a must-visit destination.
A bunch of green forests and lots of squirrels and ducks. Excellent park for walks, jogging, cycling, running. 10 tennis courts and practice field, swimming pool, and football field. Many decorations awaiting for you!nnBe aware of coyotes, eagles, and black bear. Bears don't live there, but they might migrant to this park during pre-winter season. Also, always responsible for your own garbages and be alert for behaviors from some individuals.
Beautiful park located in the city of Burnaby, the trails are well maintained and easily accessible. There are 2 small ponds in the centre of the park as well as a playground, restrooms, tennis courts and a concession stand. The whole park took about an hour to walk around. Very peaceful and relaxing way to unwind, there's lots of wildlife running about.
Central Park is such a good place to walk, alone or with friends. There are 2 ponds you can walk to through the trails that are really beautiful. However, I would not recommend coming here alone when it gets darker as some trails are very secluded. There are 2 bathrooms 1 near the stadium and one on the other side near the tennis courts.
