Love this park. It’s small and quaint but grows and improves every few years. It’s near the centre of town and has a lovely, relaxing vibe. It is near the water so early mornings and late evenings, one can sit and watch deer, and sometimes Elk drink from the river’s clear waters. The clear water is also populated by ducks and lots of Cobra Chickens. The park offers benches and a traditional white, octagonal Gazebo to sit in the shade. I have seen musicians use it in the past. Views of the surrounding mountains, from the park are, as expected, beautiful. This week, when we passed through, there was a “Farmers Market” attached to it in the parking lot. It offers some very nice local, artisanal items at some not very good prices but hey, many people are only in Banff once and the art is nice so… There are restrooms right next to the park, although I am unsure if they are open year-round; most likely are, as they are heated and air conditioned. There are also lots of businesses near by that offer trinkets and food to munch on while slowly meandering through the park. Just hang on to your food as the Whiskey Jacks love dive-bombing and the squirrels are anything bu shy.
Beautiful park next to the Banff Park Museum. It features a large grassy field, shade trees, a small playground, clean washrooms, and accessories to the Nancy Pauw footbridge and the Bow river walking trail.
Beautiful! We visited the market on the day and had a great time. Parking was free for the first 3 hrs. The market was small but had a nice selection of vendors. Some of the food we enjoyed: - Brazilian cheese bread - Grilled cheese sandwich - Bison jerky! You can’t really beat the view at the park either. Perfect for a picnic
A beautiful and monumental structure showing the great heritage of the town of Banff, Alberta. Lots of parking for everyone, washrooms, and a lovely space to relax, recharge and get directions for places to visit in and around Banff. There are lots of stores and shops around and hotels and Airbnb for those planning to lodge overnight and enjoy nature with cool fresh air.
A beautiful park in the centre of Banff town with great views of the mountains and a nearby river. Great spot to picnic or being takeout to should the weather permit, and a great spot to have a nice clam walk or bike ride through. Would recommend if you're in the area
Beautiful view of the city. The water was refreshing after walking around the stampede.
Beautiful park with amazing surrounding scenery but the playground could be a bit better.
Nice place to bring the kids and let them run around Playground: The playground isn't big but it is ok.
Very nice clean and friendly city I've been to.
Great place for a picnic. The picnic benches are washed regularly. It’s quiet and scenic and it’s so large that you can easily take a break from all the busy touristy spots.
