We found this treasure by chance, and there is no fee to enter. It's a Canadian/Chinese themed garden. Luscious flowers, bridges, benches and flowing water surround you. You will feel the beauty as you walk the various trails and paths. You are climbing uphill, but it's not difficult at all. Great photo spots everywhere!
The most beautiful botanical garden with amazing mountain views. Clean and well kept. The flowers were in full bloom in August when we went. Made another trip here before we returned to Ontario. Highly recommend visiting! You’ll love it!
A beautiful and peaceful space, I can’t believe I haven’t checked it out sooner. The flowers were so colourful and refreshing and the water features had such a lovely sound. There’s plenty of green space and benches to sit on and enjoy the beauty of nature. Also features a classic photo spot just below the steps of the building that captures a great snapshot of Banff Avenue below Cascade.
Right in middle of Banff town. Very well designed garden with cascading falls and little ponds. Beautiful flower decoration through out the park that sure to delight visual senses. Eyes will feast on bright colored blooming flower beds very well maintained. The place is magical.
The garden is an amazing place for photos! We visited on a Thursday around 5-6PM and spent about an hour walking around the garden and taking photos. The garden is very well kept and was amazing with all the flowers blooming. There are benches situated between the gardens and fountains if you want some beautiful photos. Mount Rundle can be seen in the background as well. Definitely recommend this place for all visitors of Banff.
2022 June 4.5 A beautiful well laid out and maintained garden overlooking the mountains. This park is part of the national parks programme to foster tourism and economic growth. At the top of the garden, there's a historic administration building. Free to walk around. Worth the visit.
Beautiful garden, with colourful blooms and zen springs. A hidden gem, so glad we got to walk around and admire displays, away from the hustle and bustle of town. Amazing viewpoint towards Banff with mountain backdrop.
Tranquil, terraced gardens featuring landscaped paths & sitting areas amid diverse trees. The river and the view make it a nice spot to relax and just hear the nature around, parking and souvenir store in place. Well maintained even in winter with clean paths and signs
Absolutely stunning gardens right at the end of Banff, over the bridge. When we went the main house was shut, so I’m not sure if it is ever open, but the gardens are so well kept. They are stunning.
Still snow covered the entire garden on my visit on April 16, 2023. Not much todo except photo opportunity. Would have been a beautiful during tge warmer months with green plants and flowers. Quite spacious site. We went on a weekend so the chateau building is closed. I believed it is just an administration building only. Therefore, no gift shop or bathroom facility. We visited this garden after existing the valve site on our way to the Hot Spring & Gondola via our rental car. If you visit during non snowy season and without a car, you can practically walk over after visiting the cave site. Admission is free
