Very cool Visitors center with amazing exhibitions. Entrance is free of charge.
Very informative exhibition about economy, Czech banking/financial system, and money. Exhibits are both in English and Czech. The tour was in Czech, but if you are studying the language, it's a good place to test listening and comprehension .
Czech National Bank is always making precaution to hurt ordinary citizens and help politicians with the national debt. By keeping the interest rates low and printing money like crazy, they created inflation which they are now fixing by increasing interest rates too fast. It is amazing for Young Families with Mortgages, when your mortgage will go up by 3%... Czechs should have switched to EURO long time ago.
Wonderful gallery for visitors. Free admission. Great, easy to follow, well translated and explained in English!
Tha place of the parcel of the headquarters of the Czech National Bank was outside of the city fortification after the foundation of the Old Town by King Wenceslas I in 1230. The site was not much used for building even after the foundation of the New Town by Emperor Charles IV. On the open areas around the fortified walls, then the wealthy burghers established gardens, and even during the 16th and 17th centuries the fields and the farm buildings laid here. In the 18th century, the moat was covered with soil and trees were planted at it´s place. The foundations for the current development of these sites were laid in the second half of the 19th century. Today's National Class, Wenceslas Square and Na Příkopě Street have become the economic center of the city. The palace for Živnostenská banka was built according to plans by architect Osvald Polívka. Two months later, construction works were commenced and May 15, 1900, the new building could be approved. The monumental object was built in Neo-Renaissance style with distinctive elements of Art Nouveau. The artistic decoration of the exteriors and interiors was realized by renowned sculptors Antonín Popp, Bohuslav Schnirch, Stanislav Suchard and Ladislav Saloun. Uměleckou výzdobu exteriérů i interiérů realizovali renomovaní sochaři Antonín Popp, Bohuslav Schnirch, Stanislav Sucharda a Ladislav Šaloun.
I also love money!
They tell you stright away they can't help you. They have made the laws, they got the bribe money from the exchange mafia and they sold the image and the honour of Czech Republic so a few crooks probably not even Czechs themselves make few easy bucks... It is going for at least 10 years so Czech National bank cannot say we didn't know. There are complains after complains.... somone is giving you 16CZK instead of CZK 25 and they call it legal. Of course not if lawyer is involved. Then they know that 1. the EU Central bank set the exchange rate and there is fix margins by which it can fluctuate on the domestic Czech market... 2. the change scam might be "covered" by the missing of consumer protection which should have been EU wide long time ago and gives you the right to make any business invalid within given time... and 3.but there is as well the small practice of profitiering which is ilegal according to the most civilzed laws. If the Czech law is to be counted among those civilized countries is for the last 10 years highly questionable. Either you know and you don't do nothing or you are not legitimate to he call civilized country! If you want to tax again your citizen jow about you get your money from the crooks. Anything but backward punitive damages collected by the state will be mokery of a law... you are stealing from mostly young people who have come in god faith to see your country and culture... Live with it!!!
Unuseful central bank, they have approved a fraud from EUPSprovider worldcore, a FINTECH company with a regular licence, EUPSprovider keep the customer's money from 3 months into their accounts, their customers have no possibility to manage the funds. So please don't trust in the banks in Czech Republic.
Another Czech scam!!!
