It was great entertainment and many talented performance. The one big irritant was the extreme loud music and annoying louder people behind the switch board who screamed on the top of their long, there were some young children who covered their ears as elderly people. I hope the organizers and managements help so we can save our ear drums.
In general, it has been a challenge to keep this area safe but the city is at least trying harder lately for certain outdoor events. If you're in the area during December evenings, the place is a marvel with wonderful light displays and music bringing the holiday cheer.
This is one of my favorite places to be during the summer. Every summer there are bands and other things that happened on a daily basis in Centennial Square here in Victoria. I look forward to the fun to incidents take place and hang out and relax we're going to go for a walk with the kids dream these times and festivities. None of the children have a lot of fun in the summer as well as even in the winter it's still a nice place to be thanks to the weather here. The only thing that I feel like can use would be a picnic area the stage is great place to hang out and hear bands play or even get up there and you can free yourself or with your band if you're in one you're not to mention there isn't on site security guard and practically guards to the rest of us and the restrooms are usually like decent shape but the monument in the center have continuous Square tells the story and you know anything about that looking up and looking good eat too much with pillars turn in circles as well as go around kind of like the moon the earth and the other planets and are constantly circling through the atmosphere were there rotating on their own axis
A place where the cold atmosphere of the end of the year is wrapped in warm light
A square area for meeting up, music and performances - depending on the day and time, can get quite busy here.
The white lights where okay, but it's Christmas where are the Christmas lights. People should not be embarrassed to say Merry Christmas. Christmas was going on for thousands of years why do people have to change it. What's next are there going to band Santa Claus because he might offend someone.
Went by to see the lights that were put up for Christmas, and was somewhat underwhelmed. While there are some gorgeous displays, I think the display could have been choreographed much better. There was no flow to these decorations. Next year they should higher an artist to plan it for them.
Christmas lights are pretty cool
Just visited the Lights of Wonder...what a disappointment! Hardly any lights at all, very basic displays and looks amateur. To top it off, a large group of street people camped out under the giant Christmas tree, smoking dope and fighting/shouting profanities at people. Amazing how our mayor and council continue to allow these people to be above the law. Great impression for tourists.
Must visit during the "Lights of Wonder" exhibit. Mesmerizing display of lights at the fountain and good music to complement the ambience.
