Cedar Street Pawn

My husband and I went in at 2:45 today. We were there for the sole purpose of spending money. All we wanted was to buy some movies. We drove 40 minutes from Davenport because they have a great selection. First, it was overwhelmingly hot inside. Second, when my husband entered there was no one visibly in the store. We could have taken whatever we wanted. As I came in following a woman that I can only assume worked for the city who was yelling for the only employee he finally came out of the back. He proceeded to have a lengthy conversation about the state of downtown Muscatine during which he complained about how no one shops there (which caused him to ignore the ringing phone, follow her outside so he could smoke and continue his conversation) but he didn't see the irony of his words juxtaposed against his willingness to help paying customers. Once we found several movies to purchase I went to the counter to pay expecting him to at least come back in to take our money. He did not. Then the phone began ringing again and I thought "oh, now he will come back in" I was wrong. The phone finished ringing and then I just put the movies back and we left.

Saw clerk locking door as I went up. Waited 30 min and he didn't even acknowledge me. Let phone ring over and over too
