Had pork spareribs and beef back ribs. Pork ribs were cooked perfectly. I didn't add BBQ sauce so the photo doesn't look that appetizing, yet it's very tender and flavorful. On the other hand, the beef back ribs were very chewy. The meat on the sticks was smoky and okay, but it's hard to bite down. I feel that it could be wrapped and cooked longer to render the fat and collagen, after smoked unwrapped for the smoky flavor. Overall, the pork ribs were very satisfying.
I am visiting from San Diego and my brother recommend this restaurant. The Cedar River Platter is a perfect mix to sample everything. It was all good and smoked to perfection. If you are looking for good smoked BBQ I recommend you give them a try. And the staff, all of them are excellent!!! They went above, beyond and exceeding my expectations.
I had pulled pork, beans, mac n cheese. Their BBQ sauce is pretty good. Ask to get the spicy sauce, beans are great too however the pulled pork was dry. The main reason to go to a BBQ place is to have fresh delicious meat. However, I couldn't recommend this place to get the best fresh meat here.
Best BBQ in Renton, we'll worth the drive from other areas. The food is very tasty and well worth the price. Place is clean, and very courteous staff that is there for the customer. I had the Brisket sandwich side Mac and Cheese. Kid-friendliness: Great food options for the kids.
We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in - time for some BBQ! Me and my husband love that they have Texas Style food and drinks. For example, his eyes lit up when he spotted the Shiner Bock at the register. I learned this is a beloved Texas brew. We both thoroughly enjoyed our beef brisket, pork, corn bread, beans, macaroni and coleslaw. Everything was amazing. The savory BBQ sauce comes in a cup on the side and we both got the mild sauce. They have spicier options for those with more fiery cravings! My husband was also super happy he could have a Ranch Water again as well. Having that was the cherry on top. We felt comfortable and cared for at Cedar River Smokehouse. All the staff we talked to were happy to help. One of the owners, Anand, went above and beyond to make our experience unique, memorable and wonderful. I highly recommend Cedar River Smokehouse. You'll find delicious food, superior service, great music and caring staff. They were voted Renton's "Best BBQ" for 2021 and could easily get it for 2022 as well!
My wife and myself went there for the first time. Super friendly and kind employees, tasty food with good portion. We will be back!
Was in Renton picking up a swap for my truck and the gf was hungry so we decided to check it out here... and holy heck I'm glad we did! Staff was kind and attentive, and the food was amazing Sadly I kept it decently light because we were in a bit of a hurry but I look forward to going back and trying alot more! Side note, best turkey I have ever tasted!
Best barbecue around, no contest. The owners are incredibly involved, and make the rounds to check on customers while working in the kitchen. The kitchen and front of house staff are super friendly, and everybody seems to genuinely enjoy working here. The welcoming atmosphere on top of great food makes this place very easy to recommend!
The people who work here are wonderful... helpful and friendly. I had ribs: nice and tender, great flavor without the medium-spicy sauce, even better with it. Mashed potatoes were quite lumpy, which I like.
Everything I tried was delicious and can't wait to come back and try more! Love their spicy sauce, brisket, baked beans, and mashed potatoes. Friendly service and clean spot with plenty of room to sit.Food: 5/5
