Catherine Taman, RMT

Catherine is a wonderful RMT. She is so attuned to her clients needs, and works with you to gain a much more thorough understanding of your body, and how massage therapy can truly help. I have been her client for years, and she is always so thorough with tailoring her massage treatments to suit changes in my lifestyle, my stress levels, and my physical concerns. She also regularly researches new methodologies and therapies -- massage or otherwise -- and makes excellent suggestions as to things I can try at home. For example, I had trouble sleeping in the past, and issues with my neck and headaches. Catherine suggested that I look into purchasing a specific type of pillow, which I did. What a difference -- my headaches and neck pain are greatly reduced, particularly in combination with regular massage treatments from Catherine. I highly recommend Catherine Taman if you are serious about massage and are looking for a therapist with a wealth of expertise, training, and professionalism -- she offers much, much more than just 'relaxation', and is a true partner in helping you to maintain your best health. I think she would be particularly beneficial for athletes and other folks with very specific physical concerns.

Catherine is the best massage therapist I have gone to! She is very focused on overall heath & wellbeing and during a session checks in regularly on areas that may be sore, the amount of pressure, and whether the treatment is helping. She was also great in suggesting things I could do outside of massage to help my pain points stretches, etc.. If you are using massage as part of a program to build strength and fitness, I highly recommend Catherine to help you get there.

I had tried 3 other massage therapists before, and am so happy I found Catherine. My back condition was not improving no matter what I tried, and I was in a lot of pain and headache, couldn't even walk straight. Catherine took my pain seriously, asked good questions to understand my condition, didn't jump to conclusions as some physio or massage specialists have, as if they know it all, and started the treatment. Massage was great, got deep into the knots and parts I didn't know were also in pain. She affirmed my spine was okay, and we saw that indeed my headache was going away with the muscles being treated, and gave me helpful comments and advice as I asked questions about my symptoms, and really treated me like a patient whose overall wellbeing she cared about. Not just a customer for a session. Didn't even ask me about a follow up session, so I requested two more sessions before her schedule filled up. I really needed someone who could really help my condition, and if you also need deep tissue massage, I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

I like a deep massage to really work out the knots and tension. Catherine has no problem delivering. However, I'm sure she'd go more lightly if you'd ask. The price is fair.
