The park is awesome, we don't have young children but the park was full of excited kids, which gave the park a beautiful feeling of family. Everything was so clean washrooms sparkled all day. Great experience will visit again I'm sure.
Staff was great. Sites were nice but our camp neighbors were very inconsiderate. Quite time was 10 but apparently they were on Victoria island time because they were still loud till 3 or 4 in the morning. But I dont really blame them it was the fact there seem to be no night staff to enforce quiet time.
Awesome Park, very clean, nice pool, great staff. We stayed last labour day, the fireworks were the best I seen anywhere. The last day of weekend the owner I believe came around with a gift bag.The prices are fair for the services. ART TAYLOR Pasadena NL
Nice pool but our campground was too public. It was #1, Gazebo site. Not a good camping feel with such an open site with a busy road and the TCH just outside.
The water isn't fit to swim in between the oil from boats and such floating in the water, also getting swimmers itch because of how unclean it is. There is also alot of trash around the beach and in the water beautiful spot if there was a way to keep it clean.
We used to always came at this park went there for years, and. This year things changed, my 11 year old son went around picking up recyclables and the grounds keeper went over yelling at him, my son offered him to have the recyclables by nope they called the owners and we were kick out, was not going to give back the rest of our money we had ten nights payed for, the owners would not even come and talk to us face to face had to deal with the grounds keeper and talk to them on the phone, we got our money back and got kick out of the park, and was going to phone the RCMP on us if we didn't leave right away, thanks so much for everything, And I got to ask why do you treat some people so good and some so bad? Because you are even giving out free stuff now, and we will never be back and I hope I never go camping again, I hate camping so much, you guys ruined our summer.
We arrived here after seeing a sign, "restaurant open to the public" We passed the park on highway 1, had to turn the motor home around on the busy highway. We got there, everything is closed! Can't the put closed on their road sign?!
When we first called to book a reservation we were told that we couldn’t book because we didn’t have children, and that tent sites were reserved for families only. I said ‘Oh okay..’ and they said ‘Yes, or like husband and wife,’ to which I said, ‘Well we are husband and wife..’ they said ‘How old are you?’ to which I responded, ‘Umm, 22 and 30...,’ ‘Oh okay, you’re allowed.’ I guess that was their way of saying they didn’t want irresponsible young people there, but I’ve got to say it threw me off big time. I’m certain that if my husband had been closer to my age we wouldn’t have been allowed to stay. The tent sites were fairly small and were very close together with no privacy, but they were right next to the toilets and water spigot which I liked. We had a good time, though the site is very family oriented, which wasn’t something we necessarily looked for. Luckily the kids around were nice and well behaved, but we tend to prefer being around adults only a bit more.
Your camping neighbors can make or break a campground for you, and unfortunately, ours broke it. The campground itself is fine. Friendly staff, but they seem to have absolutely no enforced quiet hours. The very loud and inconsiderate family in the next site was constantly yelling to their three young children across 3 or more sites. This was during the day, so forgivable, I guess, though really, why are you yelling? Go over and talk to them at a normal level. Around 9:30pm they started up their truck and didn't shut it off until 11:15pm. Marshmallow roasting with the very noisy kids started at 10pm. Then off to bed with the kids, but turn on the radio and build up the fire so they can sit and talk and cackle until 1:30 in the morning. Also squealing kids further away from us at midnight? A little crack down on that by management would have been nice.
Very nice park but I definitely can’t figure out the method to their madness , I was on a monthly site and content to be there, I was told I have to move off a monthly site for 7 days , how do you rent a monthly site for 7 days. I drove from St John’s Thursday night to have my camper moved for noon on Friday and to my amazement the site was empty all weekend.
