The cats were so adorable but they were not too interactive. Half of the cats there were sleeping when we went. The place was unkempt well and we questioned the sanitation there. The washroom had a dirty toilet, patrons were not required to sanitize their hands before entering, the cats had matted and grimy fur, and the slippers provided were not “cleaned at the end of our session” as it says on the rules sheet. Sadly, it’s hard to justify spending your money here. We wish the staff took better care of the cats and the place.
Came here with a friend around 4:30PM on a Monday; it was newly empty. You call in for an appointment, read the instructions and start playing with the cats. It costs $15/hr and they track your time there. Toys are provided for free and treats for the cats cost money. I've been to the other two cat cafes in Vancouver and definitely prefer this one since the cats here are a lot more active and friendly. I would say they're even cuter than the cats in the other locations. I noticed one of the larger cats had crust around it's eyes; not sure if the owner is cleaning them daily?. The only downside to this location is that it's rather small. It feels quite crowded when the place contains about 8 people. Highly recommend to come in during downtime ie. the weekdays. Overall, enjoyed my time here and will definitely come back again.
Cute place friendly service. My only complaint is there wasn't anyone explaining the rules. There was a sheet that said not to chase the cats, mask up because of COVID, and take off your shoes. But the people who work there seem to just assume you know the rules already, and didn't explain we're charged by the hour. My time there cost $30, which is fine, but I think I missed the sign that said $15 per hour per person. So just a heads up to anyone who were aware of the price. Edit: Ah yes you are right my mistake.
"In ancient times cats were worshiped as gods; they have not forgotten this." - Terry Pratchett Possibly one of the cutest ways to get your endorphin quota for the day. Be sure to buy the cats some treats and you'll be the coolest cat at the party at least until the treats run out.
Had a great time spending it here. I was by myself with all the cats. It was so fun interacting with them all without needing to dodge other people to pet the cats. Owner owns the kitties and rotates taking them home so they dont all spend all evening by themselves in the store. Since our condo doesn't allow pets, this place gave me an opportunity to enjoy their company! Thank you
This place is FANTASTIC!!! Our server Irene was a DELIGHT!! She was incredibly funny, helful, kind, and so good with the cats and dogs during dogtopia. Although Irene was busy preparing food when my family and I arrived, she came to the lobby to explain us the rules and welcome us in when she was done. Not to mention, the personality profiles that she writes for the cats and dogs are so funny and personable!! They do require that you wear one-time-use disposable shoe coverings provided by Catopia in order to protect the animals but this was no issue. They also had a lint-roller to help clean off all the hair! And, they had multiple litter boxes for the cats not smelly and all the cats were potty trained. Additionally in terms of rules, there are also multiple pamphlets and signs on the walls in English and in Chinese that clearly communicates the rules so anyone can easily review these on their own. Even though my family and I were just visiting from the US, Irene and Catopia made us feel so welcomed. We thoroughly enjoyed playing with the kitties and dogs highlight of our trip. Wish this was closer to home! Would highly recommend for any cat and dog lovers, 100% worth the trip/money. Very calming environment.
Cats are adorable and friendl! Cute, clean and relaxed atmosphere, and staff are friendly. You can buy cat’s treat for $1 and I enjoyed treating cats too. Matcha lattefor me is also good! I definitely come back!!
The cats are super cute and chill!! The staffs were also super patient when explaining the rules and introducing their products to us. The store was also very clean and well decorated. You can tell the owner and staffs really cares about the health of their little furry workers. Great place with a very fair price! I would recommend 100%
The cats are so cute and so friendly, personal favorite is wolf, he looks fabulous and so cool. The owner is also very nice, she helps you with carrying the cats if you are not a cat person. Marvelous experience, and took lots of very cute pictures, will recommend to all of my friends. Great place, great cats. Won't recommend to small children since they might hurt the cats.
Really cute small place. I heard it just recently developed, so expect everything to look a little unfinished. Otherwise, for what it is, i would come back regularly Cats were cats, some of them loving and cuddly, more so than other cat places, and some of them standoffish. Reading other reviews, I just have to say that cats have their off days and relaxation periods, too, so don't expect cats to just welcome you at any given time. The server i forgot the name was great. She named the cats and even told us about their quirks Bob was not allowed treats. Even gave us a free treat when an offending cat bit a treat bag open I will say the one star that's missing is for one cat Goldie, i think. felt a bit unkempt, kind of concerning feeling it, but just probably a time for grooming. Otherwise, i felt the cats were happy and safe.
