I came here for my birthday and it was simply amazing. Their bread is soft and delicious, the pizza and pastas are all super fresh. The vibes there were old school Italian and immaculate, this is the place to go if you want Italian in Hamilton. Well done to the owner and staff, all super nice and informative. Really recommend the mussels and the pastas

High quality Italian spot that's up there with the best in the city. Service was great and the food was delicious. The gnocchi was some of the best I've had and the dessert platters were incredible.

5 of us dined on a Thursday evening...reservations honoured immediately, our table was marked w a small label 1st names. Apps included bruschetta see photo - 2 lg pieces per order - we doubled, & calamari 2 sauces. Both were served together and were delicious! Mains included tagliatelle ragu outstanding, very filling - see photo, triangoli, two salads Nero and Della Nonna, and a beautiful example of a wood fired pizza photo, the San Pietro! The $45 Chianti Classico was wonderful for the price point. Wine list is extensive, several more costly items available. We finished with the Small Board dessert tray photo - Nodini friti, Sicilian cannoli, and Tiramisu. Shared by 4 of us I did not have the capacity, all items were savoury and a perfect ending to our meal. Note metered parking is limited in the area, we found a spot on a neighbouring street, but be prepared for a short walk. I will return to try the pizza alone I had the tagliatelle... Castelli Cucina take out , does not disappoint. The quality of all the food I’ve tried is amazing . The Diavoli pizza is my favourite and was made to perfection. The Arancini was amazing the perfect amount of rice , meat and cheese I only wish I had more marina which is Ah mazing. The Bruchetta made on home made focaccia and the perfect amount of extremely fresh tomatoes and onions and parm cheese . Can’t wait to patio season to enjoy table service . See u soon

I was so excited to dine here as I’d been following Castelli on Instagram for a while now - it surpassed expectations. Everything was amazing. We got the calamari pretty standard, clams, salsicce e funghi pizza, risotto with scallops, crown di tartuffo and the veal parmigiano. Words can’t express how delicious everything was. Sangria was soo delicious. Can’t wait to come again.

First time there. My wife had the pizza which was scrumptious and I had the bolognese that was fantastic. Service was amazing. The server checked on us frequently and she was super friendly and engaging. Loved the pizza oven out front.

Delicious Italian food - both the pizza and our entrees were excellent and we took home two sweet cannolis. The restaurant interior also had a very nice aesthetic and our server was great. I would recommend making reservations as soon as you can!

Authentic Italian…100%. The pizza is made in a wood stove what more can I say…the service was so refreshing because they cared, and bonus -house wine was a nice combo with the pepperoni pizza . I Recommend the tiramisu for dessert, a bit of heaven !

If you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine, Castelli Cucina is the spot! The service was great, the food was absolutely phenomenal. I recommend the San Pietro Pizza. With pistachio pesto, thick mortadela and fresh homemade honey you cannot go wrong!! We also had the crown di tartufo pasta which was mouthwatering! The ambiance on the patio was such a great touch to our evening. Castelli is the cutest hidden gem on James St. I will definitely be returning.

Castelli cucina is without a doubt the best Italian restaurant in the city. Every aspect of the meal, from the service, cocktails, mains and desserts, was on point. It will make you feel like nonna is in the back cooking for you, with the traditional style that warms the soul.
