On Nov. 25, I had the misfortune of having my cell phone die during a concert nearby. To my dismay, my car battery had also died — so much for making it home at a decent time in Keremeos…nnI thought I'd try my hand at getting some assistance at the casino. I was immediately greeted with a smile, empathy and the willingness to help out. Don at the front desk was one of the warmest, most patient front-line customer service members I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He called me multiple cabs, who seemingly couldn't, or wouldn't, boost my car; be it due to their hybrid vehicle or lack of interest based on the amount of congregating prospective customers standing around, hoping for a ride.nnAfter no luck with the cabs, he called a tow company at my request, ensuring I had the address and phone number of Cascades ready to share with the dispatcher on the other end. From there, I was allowed to wait on their couch away from the cold after an incredibly stressful afair.nnDuring this time, I saw Don greet numerous drunk patrons some impatient who asked for cabs too, which he did with a smile. No irritability, only top-notch customer service.nnBut that's the thing, we weren't even customers of the casino. But, despite gambling not being something I typically go in for, I will be back to play a game or two of roulette, and to have a bite at the pub that I've enjoyed on a couple of occasions, to ensure that this place of business receives mine.nnCascades Casino should be proud to have Don on their team. I know I would be.
First off I don't blame any of the wonderful staff trying to do their job but I had a bad experience today visiting for the first time. Basically I wanted to go out to eat at a buffet in town today. I looked online and the Casino poped up. So I said to myself why not play a little then grab some grub. Just as I entered I noticed an electronic kios for the casino rewards card. I also noticed new players would receive 20 dollar credit. So this is all going to be fun. Got the card and the credit. But then it went down hill. All the machines I went to were Penny slots. I only play slots. I was hoping to find at least some quarter machines and if I had to the dollar slots. Couldn't see them anywhere. So I sit at a penny slot. I wanted to use my credit first. The machine didn't want to read my rewards card. So I went to the customer service and asked for help. The very nice lady helped me at the machine I was wanting to use. She said it wasn't the card it was the machines. I did use the credit after her trying it a few times herself. Got bored and moved to a different machine. I went to several and couldn't get the damb card to read in any of them so I gave up. I wanted to go to the buffet but found out there is no buffet anymore. Just a restaurant by the entrance. I was very disappointed I was going to play more even spend the afternoon playing but I wanted to collect points for rewards as I was doing it. Also the ATM only lets you withdraw 100's at a time for a five dollar surcharge. Needless to say I was becoming increasingly disappointed Again not blaming the staff. I think the machines need upgrades and a few more options. Why no buffet ? I told the customer service lady to keep the card as I won't be back.
We just moved from out of province, arrived late last night. After sleeping we wanted to explore. Came upon this place where we decided to relax. The staff are incredible, awesome customer service. We enjoyed ourselves after a very long stressful while.nAnyone looking to have fun and relax this place is awesome.nThanks everyone
Horrible machines. Set to the tightest possible, I’ve lost my savings account thanks to this place. I’m not the one with the problem……… the machines are extremely tight, when things used to pay at a certain time they take longer to get the reward now.nnAlso thanks for removing a bunch of machines that people actually enjoyed and let people play. All these machines take $300 just to get a bonus, thanks for the $5 back. It’s your loss, I won’t play here again EVER!nnI’ll go to 12 tribes over the border, or actually I’ll wait for West Kelowna to get their casino in a few years, worth the wait rather than this place. If i was allowed to swear about Penticton casino on this review i totally would.nnStaff members really have no respect for anyone, they truly don’t care, also shouldn’t take 25 min to wait for a reserve so I can go to the bathroom. Only 1 slot attendant on the casino floor…..wow what does that tell you, obviously no machines to be paying out. I feel bad for the winter months as no tourists will be in town, only the locals will be supporting this casino & the word has gotten around this is the worst casino ever, why would people play here if you won’t let anyone have any fun. Shouldn’t take $300 to get a bonus.nnAlso please don’t respond to this review with all machines have a random number generator. I’m tired of hearing the same preset lines you have ready to write/reply that BCLC provides you to respond to reviews like mine. Just don’t waste your time to respond about the so called random number generator…… This casino removed them in all machines, and totally are set to take with no return of a certain percent which casinos are legally required to give back a certain percent……however this place is being under the table illegal & they are getting away withnnI have reported this casino & will be contacting the MLA.
