Great little course that isn’t well maintained. But fun to play to challenge my short game. Hole 5 needs to be better marked. They have a new pro shop now. The entire place is run by teenagers. Not a high end place so it won’t get more than 3 stars from me. It’s more of a driving range with a par 3 short game course.
The first weekend of play in Spring 2021 was gloriously sunny, especially Saturday, March 20, but not many courses are open at this time of year. Booking by phone was easy and pleasant with David at Carrickmacross. The parking lot was completely full when I arrived, it's compact. I used the range and played a round with friends. The range is all grass and full length, and the Pinnacle range balls are in good condition, so good stuff, but it got super busy. The course is simple, the planted trees are still young and small, there are no traps and you cross the small creek twice. The greens are not fast but were in decent condition with no bald spots. The pace of play was comfortable. $24 for a walking round was a good fun way to start playing golf this year!
Fun par 3 course, great for beginners. Very affordable as well and not too busy if you are able to avoid the peak times.
Very poorly maintained range. Decks are rough, mown to low. Staff inside tried is run by kids. They consistantly try to shut the shack down before 8:00pm whenever the boss is not around. Course is well maintained and excellent for beginners. Putting greens are great quality.
We had a fun time at the driving range. It was an okay golf course which had a putting course.
David and his team were awesome! I booked a reservation using their online service for a group of eight individuals for a bachelor party event. Unfortunately, their email response landed in my spam folder. David tried several times to contact me, but I booked the reservation a few days prior to going on vacation out of the country. When I arrived back from vacation, I called Carrick Macross Golf in a panic, but David and his team were able to accommodate me with no problem. I want to extend a personal thank you to David and his team from shifting things around and accommodating our event! Fantastic service, and the course was perfectly laid out for a group of beginners, easy to following and the grounds were in excellent condition. Keep up the good work David, and I will be back again very soon!
My son who is start showing interest in golf wants to go field, my husband who was golfing for a while took him this golf course. I went along with them , the course is all par 3 course, price was fantastic and course were pretty good for beginners. Staffs were very pleasant and helpful. I definitely recommend this place.
Great short game course. It’s all par 3. No driver needed. The course is very well maintained. Very affordable for practicing before the bigger courses. They have a driving range too. Also the push carts work very well, you don’t need a motorized one
Driving range was alright, usually nice when you can hit off the grass or tees no mats but there wasn't much grass left where we set up. May have just been that area or a busy weekend. Fair pricing for the range. I did like the chipping and putting area which was nice and well maintained. Great course for short game practice and the perfect distance to walk.
As a beginner golfer this is a fantastic course to play. Was nervous about hitting the green but I loved every moment
