Absolutely mind blowing experience. The room was so much nicer than the photos! I haven't lived in apartments that nice! Having an actual bath room was a new experience as well! The staff was super friendly, the location was peaceful and beautiful. Just fantastic. One piece of advice though is bring hand and body soap as they don't seem to have that. Still give them 5/5 and look forward to coming again
A horrible experience, before checking in we told the front desk we wanted two room that are close to each other, but turned out are far away even though there were many rooms were still empty. We returned to the front desk immediately but they refused us to switch the rooms, said the manager doesn’t allow them to. Also the check out time is 10am which is definitely not a good place for vacation! I was woken up by a phone call from the front desk in the morning saying that I had to leave at 10am so that they can clean up. Not recommend at all!!!!
I had a great experience, our room was nice, but could use some maintenance. I don't even have a dryer and washing machine so close to me at home. The king size bed was really comfortable! I will be coming back.
Rooms are aged. Facilities could be tidier. Since COVID there have been some slight downturns. Used to borrow movies / games from the rec area. Those are gone. There are coin operated machines / games. Onsite, unless you're skiing, there isn't a lot. Barrie and Orillia are within 25 min.
We had a basic king suite with a pullout couch. The room and decor were dated but clean. There was a small fridge with a freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. Check-in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am. Nearby activities: Close to Horseshoe Resort, Vetta Nordic spa and many golf courses. Bass Lake is a short drive away.
Different type of resort, hampered by staying issues. Staff that are there are doing a good job. Not a great facility for those with mobility issues. Rooms: Larger rooms are fantastic value. Maybe some flooring or smaller maintenance issues. Nothing major for our stay.
Front desk said the resort does not supply coffee or sugar...told to go to Foodland. They said the fact that we were given 2 packages of no name coffee and packs of sugar/stir sticks, we should consider ourselves lucky. Both the younger lady and det lady had attitude. Filthy spatula left in clean pans Beds hard as a rock Couch hard as a rock Kiddie pool not open because no lifeguard? A lifeguard isn't required for regular pool and kids are more likely to drown. Not what I expected from the same company that owns Comfort Inn, which is why we chose this resort. I won't be staying at comfort inns any longer. This is a resort and we rented a room at the resort. We didn't rent an Airbnb or a condo. We rented a suite at a resort but apparently this is also a time share? That wasn't on the Choice Motel website. Very deceiving. We expected a suite in a resort with hotel services.
Nice place to stay when skiing. Just hop out the back door and away you go
Overall a nice experience Location was not easy to find as Google maps took us to where they have closed the entrance, so at night time it's not easy The room was clean and had all the necessary items including kitchen utensils Luckily got the views of the horseshoe resort chair lift from the balcony which was good Would like to go back definitely in the summers
Booked a anniversary weekend surprise for my wife. And it sure was a surprise! No service at all when arriving at night from out town ! Not a soul to be seen? Just darkness?? Do not Recommend !Rooms: 1/5
