The hot buffet was good, but the 2 items from the salad buffet were off. The zucchini salad and the beets. Upon 3 of us reporting our opinion, one waitress promptly looked into it and the 2nd waitress said 'the beets are out of a can' indicating why they tasted that way. Beets and Zucchini were off, no 2 ways about it.

Carousel Restaurant & Tavern convinces with a large buffet offering two different types of soups, numerous salads from beetroot to corn, main dishes such as ham, meatballs, spaghetti, pizza and roast beef as well as delicious cakes and ice cream for dessert. Staff is welcoming and friendly. If you stay in a hotel in Peterborough, you get ten percent off the price of your food. Prices are very reasonable overall. If you're looking for some hearty food after a long day, this is the place to go in Peterborough. If you're looking for vegan or vegetarian food, fancy steaks or sushi, you have to look elsewhere.

Excellent service...great food! Christmas buffet is wonderful. We have been coming here for years and look forward to it!

Buffet has quite some fresh food, just regular items. Would have been nice if there were tags or something, especially useful for people with food allergies/special diets. Place is a little dated and can use an update, which may affect the atmosphere positively at the same time. The staff could have smiled more in our opinion.
