I had Carey come out and look at my outside air unit last year of 2022 because my unit was not working. Prior before Carey came out I asked if I could be billed for the service call and was told by office staff that it would be no issue because coming up with that kind of money right then was going to be hard to do. After finding out what was wrong which was the copper piping had a hole in the line and the system had to be recharged. When the technician was finished he stated the bill was 500.00 dollars and the payment was due now... I told the technician that the office said I could be billed on this call and was told by the technician that no payment was due now... I would had never called to have them come out in the first place if I knew I had to have the money up front. I ended up having to borrow the money to pay the technician before he left. This year I went to turn on the air unit and it would not turn back on again, so I contacted Carey to see if they could come out and look to see if the line they repaired last year was leaking again and was told no that I would have to pay for them to come out again. So no, stay away from Carey heating & air they do not stand by their repairs and they do not have any communication skills with the office staff or the technician was too lazy to make contact with the office. You would think for 20 minutes of work that the cost 500.00 bucks they would stand by repairs or it least come out to check if that was the issue.
There isn't an option for zero stars so opted for the lowest. Moved out to Bardstown to get away from the hell Louisville has turned into but apparently there is plenty of crooks in the Most Beautiful Little Town of the USA also. Thought I had an A/C leak so called them up based on reviews. No where on their site is an amount charged listed just to come assess a repair and I wasn't informed of any when I called. Technician came out couldn't find anything wrong and said watch it for a couple days to see if stays fine. I was told I wasn't going to be charged unless a repair was needed. Couple of days later was contacted I told them still running fine and I appreciate you guys not charging me. I then hear well I'm going to send you a ticket lol. I figured would be a $30 $40 maybe $50 fee. Nope $100 service fee $30 for which actual work was performed and a $70 trip fee. Dude is located in Bardstown so he wasn't driving from Cincinnati. I'm a firm believer in say what you mean and mean what you say. If they had told me their fees upfront I would have told them I'll look elsewhere or even told me when they came out if it turns out it's nothing but we charge so much but they failed to. Dude was here for 30 mins so I guess he makes $200 an hour. My divorce lawyer was cheaper and I got full custody of my son a few years ago. They came out same day and fixed our AC so quickly, great experience and would use them again!
Called on Christmas eve to have furnace fixed. Was willing to pay the price of 140 dollars just for him to come out. Only to be told he wasn't gonna come out because we were already without heat for a couple days. But he was willing to come out the following Monday. Why even waste my time by calling back or even answering the phone.
I just had Pat from Carey Heating and Air at my house for a service call. Pat was amazingly fast at troubleshooting the indoor and outdoor units, he had me up and running in 15 minutes. The office staff were also very professional. I would STRONGLY recommend Carey Heating and Air for all your heating and cooling needs Terry Davis Bardstown KY

Have had air problems twice, they've come right out. Honest, reliable and fixed the issue!
