Captain Ron's

If you can't find entertainment here your not trying hard enough. We arrived by boat, plenty of dock space here. Super friendly young ladies help tie you up to the dock. Indoor and covered or uncovered seating available. Indoor bar and separate outdoor tikibar. Sand volleyball court, beach, bags and swimming available. Cabins for rent also. Small gift shop inside too. Cheeseburger and fries was large and well flavored. Wife enjoyed her quesadilla as well, substantial drink menu with lots of fruity type mixed drinks. Not too busy for lunch but a good crowd service was very good.

Restaurant was nothing special. Food and service was mediocre at best. I assume they are short handed as they were comping food and drinks at almost every table and took a long time to get either. Outside in the "beach" looked like a great time an a large bar out there with possibly live music at some point.

We only had a couple appetizers with our drinks but everything was very good. Our bartender was a lot of fun and kept the drinks coming. They have a sandy beach if you want to lay out or wade into Lake of the Ozarks.

Went to CR's 2 weekends in row and had excellent service. Food is on top of our list this yr. They have really stepped it up. The grouper increased with crab and Davey Jones nachos are the best ever. We had fantastic drinks as well. Rowan was our server and she by far is the best server out there. CR if you keep this up you will be the lakes top spot for food and fun!! Kid-friendliness: Always a plce for kiddos at CR's great beach but watch out for alligators!! Haha just kidding...

This was our first trip to Captain Ron's, and it was delightful. Very convenient, just a little ways off Hwy 5 But a BIG sign tells you where to turn. Fast, friendly service kid and family friendly too! They have a playground for the kiddos and tasty food. Good music at a decent volume. Right on the water with a marina, you can get there by boat or by car. Beach volleyball 2 courts, a playground, a bar, a covered deck, and indoor dining if you prefer. Can't wait for the next opportunity to drop in to Captain Ron's!

The band was excellent. The bartender with the white sweatshirt & dark hair was awful. Hopefully the owner will see this & do some training with her. She looked right at us standing at bar holding money & went to wait on guys for several minutes. This happened multiple times with the women in my group. I was a waitress all through college, so I tip well. It’s ridiculous being treated like that. Also she charged us $1 more for the same drink that she charged others. Very bad service!

Great experience boating up to Captain Ron's! Our friends brought us here while we were visiting the area. Food was good, service was good, views of the lake were good. Can't wait to come back next time we're visiting the area.

Food was a disappointment. Shrimp had no flavor. Beans and rice looked good until I took a bite. Rice wasn't cooked. Fries cold. The kitchen did not put any effort into the food. When cooking for the public you need to put pride in every dish you create.Service: 4/5

The place was basically empty but we were there for a meal at an odd time of the day, about 4:00. The waitress obviously didn’t want to be there and was not even attempting to be friendly. We were brought 2 of the same appetizer we ordered and they seemed disgusted when I told them that we just ordered one. I was not allowed a receipt after I gave my credit card. I would not go back again.

We didn't get food, so I can't review it. However, we had a few drinks, and the service was really good and the bartenders were fun and energetic. Easy to get there by boat. We will be visiting again some day.Service: 5/5
