Captain John's Fish & Chips Owen Sound, ordered and paid for $30.00 worth of food, plus asked for 2 coffees extra while we wait, we were sitting at the table and manager comes over and says we can't sit at the table its for paying costumers, and hands us 2 Styrofoam cups we where suppose to put our coffees in, I said we are paying customers we bought 2 coffees plus $30.00 in food to go!, we asked for our money back and they said NO, so Kevin Just walked out leaving our $30.00 and food there, LAST TIME WE GO THERE, hope all see, call and complain at Captain Johns at 519-376-4903

Good fish and chips. The waitress messed up my order twice, then argued with me that that is what was written down. Ordered chicken nuggets for my son with honey and she brought fish with honey. Lol. Plus order 2 gravies and she only brought 1. I would suggest just getting take out. Not worth the tip.

I remember it being better. Fries were very starchy and left a pasty feeling, and the fish batter was a bit heavy, very greasy, and overcooked. It wasn't terrible, but I won't recommend it to anyone.

I called ahead and ordered our supper to be picked up, the lady said it will be ready in 5 minutes, I asked if it could be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived and nothing was ready they had dropped our order on the floor and forgotten it. The restaurant wasn't even busy at the this time. They cooked our order offered no compensation, my hubby got it and we left. Arrived at the park and the order wasn't even complete. I called in to say so and lady said she must have misunderstood what I ordered. I complained that they forgot our order, then we had to wait 20 minutes for them to actually prepare it -at this point the gentleman interrupted me to say the most I would have waited was 15 minutes because they always precook their fish..... it showed in how greasy it was and how dark many of the fries were! Won't be eating here again. This place used to be great! Now bad food and customer service. Quite sad.

over priced 40 dollars for lunch for two people fries half cooked will not go back again.

Hadn't been since new ownership. Can't speak to dine in experience. However, take out was great! Just picked up two cod dinners. Great price, huge portions, delicious fish, and hand cut fries. Owner was friendly, and gave us a bit if a deal. Will certainly take food out from here again.
