Lightly battered Halibut hand cut onsite, dipped and cooked fresh. I doesn't get any better than this. Husband and wife team ensure quality and consistency. Fresh cut fries, fresh made to order salads. Something for everyone and at value prices.
Very pleasant servers, great halibut fish and the sauce that comes with it! Fries are ok, and greek salad is amazing!
Got the lunch special. One halibut & chips with a can of pop for $17.75 inc tax. Portion was a little small on both the fish and the chip considering the price. Not the best and not the worst I've had.
Used to be my all time fav fish and chip place but my last visit was terrible, the batter was barely there and soggy and the fries were under cooked.
Stopped into Port Hope for an afternoon, and happened to stumble upon Captain George’s. We couldn’t decide what to get so we ordered the chicken souvlaki pita, Greek salad and haddock and chips. EVERYTHING WAS SO TASTY. We didn’t even have left overs. Cute and clean restaurant, very friendly staff. Perfect experience

Stopped in Port Hope on a sailing trip. Came across Captain George's while walking to downtown. Stopped in and was glad I did. Fish and chips was great and so was the chicken souvlaki pita & Greek salad. Fair prices and good good!
I only have one negative comment. We were never asked how our meal was or if we wanted another drink.
Dropped into Port Hope on the way to Kingston. Stopped in to Captain Georges. Top quality....was a little pricey...closer to Toronto prices. Highly recommended.....we will be back.
