From takeout: The batter is crispy and very tasty. Quality and freshness was not an issue. I ordered a captain platter for around 25.00 and it was about eighty to ninety percent fries. The fries were pretty good and so were the onion rings. Depending on the fish it's either a 3 oz or 6 oz piece. So the meals do fill you up, but it's definitely not from too much fish. There are some great dine in restaurant deals that might make it a better value. I added a side order of clam strips. They were good and crispy like everything here, but most of the strips were barely an inch at best. They have a very dry coleslaw that might appeal to those that dislike very creamy kinds.
We ordered captains platter and clam chowder. The food was amazing, we made another shrimp order because it was so good even though we were very full. The Halibut and shrimp tasted very fresh and the coatings on both were very crispy. Definitely will come back if we're ever in the area!Food: 5/5
Excellent fish & chips and seafood platter! Every bite was crispy and enjoyable. The shrimps were SO good; the best that I’ve had! My husband doesn’t eat seafood, so he ordered the chicken strips; he loved it. Super clean restaurant and washroom; feel safe to eat in here during Covid time. Friendly and speedy service.
Just got thier family meal of 5 pieces of fish and fries and coleslaw for Good Friday. It unfortunately was not worth it. This meal is usually 50.00 plus tax. They upped it to 70.00 plus tax for the holiday. There was no way it was worth 50.00, nevermind 70.00 plus tax. A couple of the pieces were almost as much batter as fish. There was enough coleslaw for only one person. There wasn't even lemon included. Had my husband realized how little we were getting when he picked it up not even delivered he would not have taken it.
We had a great time there with really good foods, big portion with reasonable price. Plus next door, we can get fresh fudges, so delicious!
Had a late lunch with my mom today and we found this hidden gem! So glad we found it! Superb food fresh seafood and AMAZING clam chowder! and wonderful staff! Thank you for our delicious meal!
We had the shrimp plate, commander mixed fish/seafood and halibut, everything was very good. It was a Saturday and it was all you can eat shrimp, great deal. They have specials every night. The batter on the fish was crisp and no too heavy, just perfect. The prices are competitive, great for the quality of food you get.

4 pc halibut meal $44....disgusting for what we got. Pieces are too thin to be halibut and are half the size of Joey's. They won't be getting our business again!
Fantastic fish'n'chips! I had the haddock - my second time at Captain Georges and it is definitely my favorite! I ride in from Montreal just for that .... it's worth it! Service is amazing - quick and efficient. What can I say about my server Kaylie ??? Smiling, pleasant, always seem happy to be there - great, GREAT service from her. Thank you!
