Capital District YMCA - Glenville Branch

First of all, I only gave this 2 stars because the summer camp rules suck. Before putting your child into this be aware, your child isn't even ALLOWED to go inside. Kids are only allowed to go inside only when it's raining, but kids are put into the gym for some time. Also, children are only allowed to drink water. Oh... and also... if you drop your child off at 7 am, and you get them at 5 pm, they are outside for 10 HOURS, and there is no going inside. The only way to get out of the heat us if you drink water. And don't worry about your child getting bullied and picked on, because more than 50% of the time, the counselors are f***ing retarded and d***heads, that they don't even take care of the situation. They also don't even care and when they do take care of the situation, it usually continues with your child being picked on and the bully for the rest of the time your child is there. Like weeks or the whole summer. Also, speaking of counselors, they are kind of rude to your child and they are mean as well. Not saying ALL of them are, but 90% are.

When is the glenville YMCA going to hold classes in the evening earlier than 545?? I live 5 minutes away and have to travel to Clifton park to attend a 4:00 class! Open gym for 6.5 hours is a bit much! Strongly recommend a 4 :00 class M-W-F (total body workout, tabata, body sculpt) Look forward to your positive response.

Always a super friendly atmosphere. I really enjoy going here and will continue to do so. Also, the upkeep is awesome! They are constantly making changes to better the facility.

I always enjoy the nice warm welcome when I go. I will definitely continue going... and the pools are always wantched and cleaned.
