So I went here a little while ago to see film with a family member and it is kinda a get what you pay for situation. If you are fully aware that 5$ is pretty cheap for a movie ticket then you should also be aware that it won't be the most amazing theatre you have ever been too. That being said, there isn't really much to complain about. The staff are fantastic, the bathrooms are decent and the actual cinema rooms are ok. The screen size isn't bad and the chairs are a little old but still comfy. The cinema rooms themselves vary. Some are nicer than others. The nice ones are clean and comfy, while the other ones have a slight bit of what looks to be water damage as well as ceiling panels removed. All in all not bad for 5$ though, a fun simple time if you're close to it and and want something to do. 7/10
Showing some older movies that you may have missed, and only on certain days and/or times. The Asian-fusion corn dogs have cool flavours and they were delicious but slightly costly. But for a movie + the basic popcorn, my wallet is happy!
I love this in so much as its cheap and caters to the kids - it's a no frills style cinema. It also has a full compliment of snacks. Sure its dated, thr movies are older but they do a decent job of upkeep. Its also much more laid back than most of the bigger theaters. There is also a lot of parking so you never have to worry about not having enough.
Excellent! $5 to see Top Gun Maverick on a big screen with an excellent sound system. $6 for a medium popcorn. Loads of parking. Mostly recently run films just out of the big theatre chains. There must have been 200+ seats, but there were only 2 of us, and one other couple. 02.06.23
This is one of the best theaters in Calgary. The movie selection is great, and they often bring in 'retro' films Big Lebowski, Dark Crystal, etc. The Dirty Soda is amazing. Prices are great! Family of 4 with food is around $50 all-in. At the other theaters, it's always over $100.
Its the perfect place to go for a person on a budget. I could never afford the theatre otherwise! Staff are always so friendly. Thanks for providing an affordable option. My kids and I love being able to go to the movie theatre and have some popcorn!
100 stars! Had a great time celebrating my daughters 5th birthday today. The costs can’t be beat, the pizzas and popcorn were great and we were WELL taken care of. Definitely would recommend celebrating your kids birthday here over any of the big chains
65 dollars for three movie passes and snacks. Why do I order so much popcorn I can't even put a decent dent in the bag???? Not allowed to bring in your own snacks, which makes this unaffordable for many. I understand that they make money on these items, but the theater was close to empty. Change policy, please, so everyone can enjoy without stigma of bringing in homemade popcorn.
Seriously, who DOESN'T love this place?! Is this perhaps the last reasonably priced place on earth?! Skip the expensive theatres with loud kids and rude people on their phones and $10 popcorn, just go here instead! The hot dogs are delicious and the staff here are all amazing. I ordered way too much food and they gave me a tray to carry it. They also made my hot dogs fresh and brought them into my theatre for me!
Great prices for movies that have been in the theater for shows that have been out for a while. Lots of families attended shows in late afternoon. Like any theatre concession prices are higher, but that buttery popcorn tastes fantastic. Combo options were drink, popcorn and/or hotdog.
