I recently visited this restaurant and was blown away by the delicious food and friendly staff. The menu offered a wide variety of traditional Mexican dishes, all of which were expertly prepared and full of flavor. The staff were attentive and made sure our experience was enjoyable from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making for a great dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and great service
Great authentic Mexican food here! Awesome options from different types of quesadilla and seafood. Would have given 5 star but our server was a bit slow at times and we had to wait a while for things. It was busy but at times servers were chatting and laughing amongst themselves instead of attending to our table. But overall food was good and made up for the service.
Average food, decent drinks, .exceptional service - oddly that's what stuck on my head. Loved the people who worked there. Not only our server, but everyone was so great. It seemed the whole service team enjoyed working there and it showed in all of their interactions. Did not meet the manager, but obviously doing a great job leading an awesome group of people.
We went for dinner on Thursday night and found this Mexican restaurant. Found out this was the 2nd generation of famed Cafe Norte, reborn & renamed by the son & daughter. Having a sommelier on staff helped us pick a nice Pinot and they provided free homemade nacho chips and salsa to start. Ordered a couple of appetizers; the Shrimp and Chicken Taquitos, and my main course, the Barcacoa, which was delicious. My wife ordered the Taco Salad. Service was spot on, the food was delicious, and great to see many of the original recipes/entrée items brought back from the former Cafe Norte. On the way home, we both agreed this has to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Metro Vancouver. Tough to live up to reputation, however this restaurant sure did! We will be back..... Parking: Park underneath the restaurant, plenty of covered parking. Garage entrance just to the back of the restaurant. Come up stairs, exit through Thrifty Foods.
This IS the fancy Mexican restaurant I’ve been searching for. The cocktails were amazing as was the Mexican Paella. Absolutely loved that they had a kids menu for our little one. Service was fantastic and the premise is beautifully finished and decorated. Can’t wait to return to try more dishes. Thank you!!!
Great service. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Portions were generous and had grest flavour. They have a rotating menu of cocktails. Will certainly visit again. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of GF options.
Food: The food is not 100% authentic Mexican. However it still works. They give 1st. basket of Chips & Salsa for free and it good for approx. 4 people. We followed that up with the Tortilla Soup, Papas Bravas, Chicken & Mango Chimichanga & Enchiladas Vegetarianas. All the food was delicious and totally worth the money. Service: One word: Excellent Parking: there is free underground public parking available behind the restaurant. Final verdict, will definitely go back if we are in Vancouver again.
What I know of Mexican food is dangerous, so I chose my food based on the ingredients... and the result was delicious! I don't remember what it was called but it had duck and eggs... I loved it, the service was great, water was replenished frequently, and the atmosphere is very enjoyable in the restaurant.Food: 5/5
What an experience! The finest Mexican restaurant we’ve had. House made tortilla chips and salsa. Authentic margaritas. Friendly and professional staff. Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere, food and service. Came here for brunch 11AM - 2PM and it was amazing! It would be great if they had horchata but hopefully on the future they can add it to their menu! I would highly recommend this place!
