Canmore Registry

They don’t like doing their jobs it seems. Went in for a marriage license which on the government website clearly says it can be done as you wait, just bring ID. Wait 24 minutes only to get told they only give marriage licenses on Mondays it was a Monday but we had to send an email to get an appointment. We explained we were getting married the next day asked if there was a spot free today, we’re again told to email and “I’ll get back to you eventually”. Called the registry in Bragg Creek was told yep just walk in, it’ll take 20 minutes, no worries.

I was trying to renew my license and the dark haired manager who was supposed to help me was rude and impatient from the beginning. My debit card was not working, they don't take credit card, so I told her I would run out and get cash from my husband waiting in the car. She snapped that if I left, I was not coming back. I was so shocked and then she tore up my paperwork! I have never experienced this level of abuse from someone in customer service. I should have left when I was waiting in line and witnessed her yelling at another customer for not speaking proper English. She must be closely connected with the owner as I don't know how you can treat people like that and still have a job.

I’m very sad what happened to me today in registry Canmore! My road test was booked between 11to11:30 and I show up at 11:30 ! Same as last time my test was booked between 9to 9:30 ! Last time the examiner was late for 30 min which is fine for everybody but today I was late for 4 min thy say I can’t take a test because I’m late and the agent there she told me just go home we will call you if the examiner accepted to do the test for you today but she never called! I call back after 2:30 pm after I was waiting whole day at home ! And she told me no you can’t take the test to day because is your false you don’t show up on time and you cant get your money back , I say you guys can’t take my money just because I’m late for 4 min that not fair that money i work for that hard to make 155$ Then she give me the manager I was expecting something else but she say the same ! I ask here way last time when the examiner was late and I’m there from 8:30 to 9:30 was fine but today I was late 4 min is not fine ! She say that he was running late because is snow and we want him to be save ! The question way she don’t think the same about me ? Anyway however the examiner last time he do he’s best to make my wife failed even she was doing great in the road ! He told her is not for today Maybe next time I don’t know what is the standards to not failed with that examiner in Canmore!!!!!!?Bay the way my wife she is driving for 15 years! There’s a lot of bad think happen to me in Canmore registry I can’t finished even the back home driving license in French and the agent she speak French and canada is bout French and English but thy didn’t accepted I have to go to translate french to English in canada which cost me 250$. Right now I spend almost 750 $ just to change driving license in Canmore! Anyway I’m still hoping to get my money back because I don’t do the test , and I think anywhere in the world thy can’t take your money if thy don’t do any service for you ! Hopefully someone hear me here and tel me what to do ! Thank k you .

Been here a few times now and the service is consistently positive. My experience today Aug 22nd 2022 was excellent she went was very polite and happy to make sure I knew everything. She made sure I register my vehicle in time next year aswell by getting the proper reminders.Aswell as helping me with my registration get done today. And she did seem to have a French accent but spoke very good English and understanding English as well

Don't waste your time with this place. Terrible customer service from people who are genuinely not happy about something or other. Serious bad energy in there. I've lived here for 25 years and it's a joke among locals .."they are still in business??" Banff or Calgary for the win!

I have come here multiple times and always had good service. Today specifically it was efficient, kind, and easy to do two things - one personal and one corporate.

The people are nice but their intake system and services offered are limited and just not customer friendly. Double check the website before you go. I’ll use Banff and Calgary registries from now on.

The team here is lovely - and more particularly, Tori. Tori helped me through a long process which spanned over 2 months; from converting my license to a new province and obtaining my Class 4 for work. I am a traveler from Australia and didn't quite understand the whole system but Tori was wonderful! She explained everything so clearly, was always happy to write back to my emails and even wished me luck each time I went for an exam I did fail once. In all the times I visited, never were they rude to me. They are often quite busy and I did witness multiple encounters where customers were short and a little snappy. Be patient and polite here. They are doing their best and they DO want to help you. : Thank you Tori! I will never forget your advice and support during that period of my life.

Always so quick to say no. Could definitely have better customer service. Ohh well the drive into Banff or Calgary is really nice. Highly suggest going anywhere else.

Was not sure what to expect after seeing so many negative reviews. But I had amazing service today. I emailed a question and recieved a helpful and timely reply. And even though I could not get to the registry until end of the day, the staff was kind, friendly and so helpful. Thank you to the wonderful staff that helped me!
