Story

Join us at The Canalside where we serve REAL FOOD, NOT FAST FOOD. We serve great homemade meals daily with a separate lunch and dinner menu featuring Ontario corn fed steaks, seafood, and pastas as well as amazing daily features. We make some very creative, homemade soups daily. We have an extensive wine and beer menu and a fun new summer cocktail list! We also have 2 hotel suites upstairs if you are looking for luxury accommodations while visiting Port Colborne.
The Canalside has been awarded the 2010 Business of the Year by the PCW Chamber of Commerce. Come, relax and watch the world sail by.

Suite 4 is a beautiful room. Fair price, quiet environment, clean, and with a great view of the canal. A beautiful place to spend a weekend. The kitchette is a nice touch!
This was fun. Food was great. Service was quick. Beer was cold. There was live entertainment just outside the patio. Definitely going back when I’m in the area.
Soup of the day clam chowder really good. Did not need to add and salt or pepper salad was a good size dressing wasn't over powering the salad. Onion rings were perfectly cooked and spiced again really good.
Met the owner who was a great guy and then we ordered the food which was awesome. They had 18 hour smoked pulled pork that they do on their own barbecue outback. That basically had me sold then we had the black and blue burger which was fantastic also had some turkey and cranberry soup which I loved. Great place low key.
The food is fantastic, Kelly is amazing. Never disappointed in anthing we order. Great beer selection too!
Pickle soup???? What the... Never heard of it. It was so good. I want more. Steak sandwich was a little plain, but very good. Nice to see the place has kept its old time charm.
We've eaten there before covid and it was excellent. We stopped in during covid to purchase gift certificates to help support them once covid is done. They have an excellent menu and fresh fish dinners.
Frequented several times and have had consistent good food and service. Greg the owner is always spot on with recommendations. Lovely patio extension across the street. Not to mention a one of a kind view of the canal.
