Canadian Tire

I have been to many Canadian Tire stores and I must give my compliments to the staff at the Whitecourt Canadian Tire. I went there twice in 2 days and both days the staff were extremely helpful. I was looking for 3 different items and each time 3 different staff members asked me if I needed help finding the item. Not only did they know which the aisle the item was located, they stopped what they were doing and escorted me to the item. I felt badly interrupting them. When I was browsing after, another staff member asked if she could help me find something. Kudos for fabulous customer service!!!

If you’re looking for somewhere to take your vehicle to be worked on save your hard earned money and go elsewhere, they will only take advantage of customers here. After taking our vehicle to Canadian tires mechanical shop to simply have the ac system tested and recharged as they have a sign outside stating they do this they returned our vehicle saying they vac tested it and filled it up completely, no notes of anything concerning on the service order. By the next morning the vehicle had no ac, we called them to tell them this and they informed us to bring it by the next morning, upon doing this one of the mechanics told me as I dropped it off that quote- “there’s nothing we can do for her, we don’t have the equipment to test for that.” Which shocked me because being a shop offering this service and after paying $250+ to have the system recharged I would have thought it would be tested properly with the equipment required to do so. I then spoke with a manager who informed me that the “machine” they used to test it can only do so much, he said a nitrogen test would be needed to test it properly. He informed me he had it on order and that he would call me when it came in to perform the service free of charge considering the situation yet it’s now been weeks with no call, and when we stopped by no manager was around, a note was left for them and yet I still have heard nothing. If I knew this mechanic shop didn’t have the equipment they needed to do the job I was going to be paying for I would have never brought my vehicle here, let alone the way they’ve treated us now trying to remedy the issue. At this point I would just like my money back. Apparently all they wanted was our money, no such thing as quality work. So please do yourself a favour, take your business elsewhere, where they might care about you and your business.

Second weekend in a row coming from Edson to buy firearm available at this store. 2nd time I had to turn around empty handed. We know what goes with a long gun, at least gun scope, ammunition carry bag etc. A loss of at least $1500.00 for this store because no personell to sell firearms over weekend. I will not come back to this store again.

Canadian Tire has a pretty good return policy, which is great because we end up returning 1/3 items due to poor quality. Help is hard to find and lines become long when not enough tills are in service. It seems to be all locations across the board.
