I went to Canadian Tire in Yorkton yesterday to get some new winter tires, and it was a frustrating experience. I had booked an appointment and got a quote over the phone, so I was expecting a smooth process. I handed over my keys and decided to check out the hunting and fishing section while I waited. I also popped into the mall for a bit, since I drove from Broadview, which is about a 1.5-hour drive from Yorkton.nnWhen I went back to pick up my truck, they told me they'd been trying to reach me because the tires they had quoted were for an SUV, not my 2021 Ram Warlock 3.6L V6. I had specifically mentioned my vehicle when I booked the appointment, as getting there and back would use a lot of gasoline. When I arrived, they didn't have half of the tires they had offered, and something went wrong with the workshop, leading to incompetence that would have had me waiting 2 hours for a tire change. To make matters worse, they told me I would have to wait an additional 2.5 hours for them to start working on my truck, even though I had a confirmed appointment made 2 days prior with their automotive service department.nnI asked them if I had booked a transmission replacement or something, because it was getting ridiculous. They admitted that it was their mistake and took responsibility for the error, but no one seemed to do anything to resolve the issue. It's frustrating to make an appointment, drive 3 hours 1.5 hours each way, and then be told to wait even longer. What's the point of making an appointment if you're just going to make me wait 4 hours for them to work on my vehicle? Their management seems very disorganized, and I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received.
Went to Canadian Tire for an out of province vehicle inspection. They failed my vehicle because of windshield wipers that were only a month old, rear bushings that look really good to everyone else and some other stuff that is clearly passable. It's VERY clear that they are scamming me. I reached out to management and the owner and they are ignoring me. The worst part is that two employees at the front told me to send my SUV to a scrap yard when I complained to them. My SUV is in nearly brand new condition! I complained, but nothing was done about it. I'll be going in for my follow up inspection as it was part of the original cost. I changed the windshield wipers even though the old ones were still fairly new and perfect. I changed the bushings myself, so I'll come back and update everyone if they try to scam me some more. Funny thing is it passed the Canadian Tire inspection in Ontario, but a month later failed a few things at the Canadian Tire in Yorkton Saskatchewan. Be extremely careful when dealing with the mechanic shop at this Yorkton Canadian Tire Location...
Aaliyah in paint and tools was very helpful and kind! Always a huge help and wonderful face to see whenever I come in. Did an amazing job in assisting me and my husband to find the right tool for the job and to find us the right paint types for both inside and outside our home, as well as stain for our deck. She was very patient with us and helped us to find the perfect colours. Very sweet, helpful and funny girl who knows her stuff! Looking forward to coming back and getting the wonderful customer service again and again and staff always looks happy when I come in.
Feeling Scammed by Canadian TirennWe brought our vehicle in with proof of recent repairs, receipts from Canadian Tire, and parts that were still basically brand new yet somehow it failed inspection. Even the windshield wipers, which we replaced a month ago and had photos to prove, were marked as failed.nnTwo staff at the front even told us to scrap the vehicle, which was insulting and unprofessional. We paid $250 for this inspection, and now it just feels like we’re being scammed into doing unnecessary work.nnWe’re returning next week, but if this isn’t resolved properly, we’ll be contacting Canadian Tire corporate, 3rd party agencies for investigation.
No staff to help.nI needed a gas cap for my vehicle.nI went into the parts/service entrance and found only 1 person on the counter that serves both departments. He was on the phone, then he had to close an invoice, then talk the the customer in line before me, then he finally is able to deal with me.nI did get my part but it was a painful wait. No wonder I don't have any Canadian Tires on my go to first list. If I go now it's in a last chance.nI'm very sad I see how low CTC has declined.
