**Beware of Faulty Mixed Fuel and Poor Accountability**nnI recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Canadian Tire that has left me deeply dissatisfied and with a destroyed chainsaw.nnOn March 12th, I purchased Husqvarna mixed fuel from Canadian Tire and used it to fill up two of my chainsaws for a couple trees that blew down in the last storm, a Husqvarna 572xp and a Walkerized Husqvarna 2100CD, on March 13th. Little did I know, this seemingly regular purchase would lead to catastrophic damage to both of my machines.nnAfter operating the chainsaws for less than an hour, they suddenly stopped working and refused to start again. Concerned, I took them to a Husqvarna certified mechanic shop where I had picked them up from a servicing on March 11th. It was determined that the mixed fuel I purchased from Canadian Tire was primarily straight gas with little to no oil mixed in. This error caused the engines to operate at dangerously high temperatures, resulting in irreparable damage.nnDespite my efforts to resolve the issue with Canadian Tire, including presenting the faulty fuel can, receipt, mechanic's quote, and the damaged chainsaws, the ordeal only added insult to injury as the offer of a 60cc Husqvarna chainsaw as compensation for my now destroyed 125cc chainsaw. While Store Manager Joel Aquino initially approved organizing the repair of my Husqvarna 572xp, the situation regarding my Walkerized Husqvarna 2100CD was met with further frustration.nnEven after confirming the dire situation with a different mechanic, it was concluded that there were no available parts to repair the Walkerized Husqvarna 2100CD, effectively rendering it useless. Despite acknowledging their responsibility in this matter, Canadian Tire failed to offer any meaningful resolution, leaving me in a precarious position with no large chainsaw for milling and tree's still on the ground in the backyard.nnThe lack of accountability and urgency from Canadian Tire in rectifying their mistake is utterly unacceptable. Their failure to ensure the quality of their products and the dismissive attitude towards resolving the consequences of their negligence reflect poorly on their commitment to customer satisfaction.nnIn conclusion, I strongly caution anyone considering purchasing products from Canadian Tire to exercise extreme caution. My experience serves as a stark reminder of the potential consequences of trusting a company that prioritizes profit over customer care. Until Canadian Tire takes meaningful steps to address these issues and compensate for the damages incurred, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone.nn*Edited: added receipt stating no more parts available and changed the dates to the correct dates.
This review is my way of saying thank you to the auto service team in particular Clement, Patrick, Abdel, Yvon and Daniel. It has been a while that I wanted to write a review about my experience with the auto service at this Canadian Tire over the last two years. I have been in other branches as well but none of them treated me as respectfully and warmly as this one. During my last visit, Yvon the mechanic spotted an issue that other garages failed to mention it, he then quickly fixed it before it becomes a major issue. And also the other time that there was some minor issue with the new set of tires I purchased , Clement went above and beyond to get it quickly fixed. They are all kind and do care about the satisfaction of their clients, it is a pleasure doing business with them.
Management or something changed at this branch because suddenly service declined in quality to less than 1 star unfortunately! Employee gave me wrong price on a carpet of 15.99$, so I took 2 and dragged them to the cashier, only to be told that its 49.99$nAnd manager would not honor the price nor offer a decent discount to make up for their staff misinformation!
Mr. Front End Supervisor with the tattoos and muscles is really to be commended for his problem solving ability and customer service. Definitely turned my experience around. Probably the best customer service I have ever received at Canadian Tire actually. Get him into Store Manager training if he is not already.
The mechanical workshop in this place gives terrible service, starting with the mechanics who, in addition to being incompetent, are poorly educated! I don't recommend it to you.nI really shouldn't give them even one star... terrible service.
